No Fixed Abode Liverpool having a great season. Shame their fans seem more obsessed about United's demise this season.

Not in the slightest Kes. These posts have all been about a bet regarding Liverpool. If Liverpool score I celebrate (and I am usually there). If United concede I give a little chuckle.
If Chelsea score you turn up the volume on your television.

Don't talk shite. I have used betfair since its inception. In fact I have a friend on the board of directors who I went to school with. Just because some nob on here said I didn't understand it did not make it accurate. I laughed my head off at him then and you now. You have a look and you will not be able to find a single post that shows I do not understand how it works.
Mr C Username I placed a bet £10 at 20/1 gives winnings of £200 if it comes in.
With this in mind a layed them to the tune of £12 yesterday at 8/1. If Liverpool win the league i lose the £96 but win the £200 from my previous bet - £104 profit.
If it doesn't come in I lose the £10 from my first bet but win £12 off this one - £2 profit.
Before any one pops up and says betfair charge 4% commission on winning bets, they don't if you are very good friends with a director.
For someone who claims such a vast knowledge of the betting industry you disappoint me C.U.

Chillax m8, I wasn't doubting you i was making a statement. Just communication breakdown brother

for you to guarantee a return of ten pound regardless of outcome you would have to lay more. Amount staked would be about 200 returns 210

21 10 210
9 23.3 210

I don't know much about the sports betting industry but a cnuting lot about high frequency arbitrage algorithms

I know the guy who runs Smarkets.com (used to trade for USB). He mentioned he'd like to do away with commission and
just make the money through the spread

Funny you've never seen that 'There is a light that never goes out' Liverpool flag before. Considering it's always at Anfield and Liverpool away games, including the European Cup final in 2005 and 2007. :|

King of Sting Lol yes indeed yet again. I know its unlikely but I am rather hoping its a profit of £104. Least I wont be down overall either way.

Are you still upset about me pulling you up on your question marks?

You have never upset me. Certainly not about question marks. You were wrong though. Again.

Not in the slightest Stealthpipes. Schards never said he was betting on United because he thought they were value and he would consider cashing out or laying them. If you read back he said he was backing them because he thought they would win it. I disagreed. Others then suggested I didn't understand how betting works. I laughed. I have won plenty in my time, mainly when I have been on the bookie side of the bookie/punter divide.

One of my very good friends is Captain of the PGA - hasn't improved my golf, though
