Massive LMFAO at joelufc20 who thinks Leeds are one of the top 10 teams in the UK.

What a oxf*rd thicko.

They're not even one of the top 10 Championship clubs, let alone UK.

Eh?

They're arguably the biggest club in the Championship by a reasonable distance. Not the most successful or best team, but in terms of size (totally subjective combination of history, fan base, success and reputation) there's nobody who really comes close apart from Forest in the current Championship.

In the Premier League there's probably only a dozen bigger clubs at best too.
History schmistery. If they'd said biggest, I'd've had a slightly different take. But they didn't, and they need a reality check.

Hoop Blah Burnely's day was when football was a little more local. They're a small club who tasted success a couple of times and they remain a local club, in much the same way as Ipswich, Blackburn or Huddersfield.

Granted Leeds successful period was limited as well, but they have the 12th largest ground in the country and can fill it. Burnley and Huddersfield aren't big clubs. They don't have the brand and they don't have the fans (neither of them average anywhere near Leeds crowds) and that is a big part of being a big club.

Size of the town/city comes into play too. Leeds must be the largest single-club football English town/city I would have thought.

Fcuk me Ian, there's being anal and then there's being anal!

If you want to play that game then they didn't say they were in the top ten in the league did they? They just said the top ten, it's up to them what measure they're talking about and it's quite obvious what they mean when they're not in the top flight in England and there isn't even a UK league!

I thought Newcastle might be bigger (in terms of population) but it isn't, so I'd agree with that assertion.

Franchise FC
Sanguine And turned them into top European sides.

Huddersfield?

Why do people post stupid stuff like this?

When did either Leeds or Forest win the top division 3 years in a row ?

Fcuking hell, don't you start too.

87 years ago. When have Huddersfield won it (or any major honour) since?

When did they play in Europe?

Leeds are a spent force at the moment and have been for years. That's all that matters.

They might be a spent force but they're still, unfortunately, a big club within our leagues and probably one of the top dozen by size.

I hope it keeps them warm at night as they finish in about 30th position in the English football structure again.

So, it's just reported that the new-to-be owners took the decision in sacking McDermott, but the current owners want to reinstate him??

Brian, keep walking, don't go back to that despicable club.

That makes the sacking illegal, which explains the attempted retraction.

It's almost as if they're one of the bigger teams in the division.

It is ludicrous, you'd think Leicester, Forest or Derby didn't exist.

One of the most boring games ever. It's also 3 times in one month they've been on.
