USA_Loyal_Royal unless we get an investor, we will lose all our top players at the end of the season then we will just be another average midtable team.

Libertine Fine. But unless we get stable ownership for the club (recognizing by his own wishes SJM's time with the club is drawing to a close) we could see, I won't say endless but, a long period of decline. That might make mid table mediocrity in the Championship seem like success.

Ian Royal Well that was frustrating. One of those games where its never going to happen and we get punished by an individual error. Credit to Blackburn they defended well, took their chance and used gamesmanship to the limit. A perfect example that we just aren't ready for promotion. But we are still one of the best sides in the division.
Ratings to follow.
Thought we were clearly the better side and didn't deserve to lose. But you don't win games if you don't score goals.
McCarthy - 8 one great save no chance with the goal
Gunter - 7 good game all round
Obita -8 defended well and went forward well
Gorkss 7 if he wasn't the one who sold Pearce short for the goal 5 if he was.
Pearce 8 good game bar a couple of hairy moments or weak passes. Almost stopped the goal twice.
McCleary 6 very quiet, barely turned up
Williams 8 great
Akpan 7 good
McAnuff 7 didn't come off for him but he gave Blackburn a torrid time and put in several decent balls. Never hid despite things not going his way and mongs in our crowd. Captain's performance
Alf 6 bright at time but not real chances
Pog 6 laboured but hard working
Guthrie 7 started really well but faded as we dot more desperate and direct
Hrk 6 ok
Drenthe 6 started dynamic and dangerous then faded miserably with some terrible set plays.

Oh dear. It was McAnuff who sold Gunter short for the goal. Gunter was the one who nearly prevented it twice. McAnuff was shocking, delivery was consistently poor and his shooting was somehow even worse than usual.

Remind me not to use your opticians
I think it is generally agreed that MacAnuff had a day to forget, even by most of the Jobi love-in crowd

It seems that no matter how long he hangs around for he will never recognise/accept that English professional football does not and will not operate according to his Auto-Trader rules of business. Football may be a business but it is not a business as Madejski knows it.
