Great goal from Bale.

The third goal from Isco was superb as well. The way he started the move, the footwork he used when it was passed back to him and the way he finished it from a really tight angle.

Sends Madrid three points clear at the top of La Liga as Barca lost to Sociedad again, they haven't won there in the league for 7 years.

Sociedad didn't do themselves justice in the CL this year because they have some very good players, Griezmann especially.

Barcelona state that they believe there has been a 'possible difference of interpretation' about how much tax they needed to pay (none Vs some) for the transfer of Neymar and today made a €13.5M payment to the Spanish tax office

Takes the Neymar payments that Barcelona admit to up to €99.7M, yet there are claims that there were still other payments made.

Earlier, Panathinaikos manager Yannis Anastasiou, a former coach at Reading, fell to the ground after being hit with an object thrown from the crowd.

Did not know that

Nice little touchline meltdown from Atletico Madrid coach Mono Burgos in the Madrid derby yesterday.

He has form, in 2012 he told Mourinho he'd "rip his f[u]cking head off".

I saw Metz lose at home to Lens in the French second division yesterday. Metz stay top, mind.

Away fans were banned due to previous crowd trouble (by Metz at Lens. There were threats of revenge).

Tbh atmosphere at French grounds these days is like the 80's in England.

Lazio played in a near empty stadium at the weekend, as fans protested the chairman's running of the club.

Bayern Munich come back from 1-0 down to win 6-1 at Wolfsburg - their 16th consecutive Bundesliga win

Dortmund win 1-0 at Frieburg to open up a 4 point gap in 2nd place (obvs miles behind the brilliant Bayern side)

At least they're signing promising youngsters.

Lens must have had a fall from grace, I don't keep to close an eye on the French Leagues but I remember when I was over there for the WC in '98 and Lens seemed to have quite a large and fervent following. One of those places where it felt like a genuine footballing kind of town IIRC. Stadium wasn't bad either, can remember some of them telling us Lille are their main rivals.
