Can't for the life of me think why you'd have a statue of the clubs second best manager of all time.. why not just suspend a ball 40ft in the air for him? At least then I don't have to look up and see it.

IMO his achievements > Coppell's achievements

Would BMD be the 2nd best manager though?? I know he got us up to the Prem again but it was more luck than anything else.Things just happened to go right at the right time! Where would Pardew come in the best manager list? Technically he started the ball rolling for us to become what we are today. He laid he foundations

I know there are those that won't agree with me but I think we started to kick on when Mark McGee came on board.

A statue of Anton Zingarevich as a reminder that the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

Statues of random fans positioned around the managers car parking space

A statue of Andy Bernal in the bushes outside the hotel

A statue of Ian Harte falling over last season

A statue of a random referee arriving at the ground led by his a guide dog

I'll take a lucky manager who over achieves by delivering unexpected success over a better manager who doesn't.

Brendan Rogers could arguably have been the best manager we ever employed, however he wasn't the most successful in the time he had.

Give us an example.
You can start with the Away games at West Ham and Southampton - our rivals that year, if you like.

Game away at Brighton springs to mind for one just off the top of my head.As i remember Brighton were all over us and i think Harte score with a deflected free kick??? Didn't brighton also miss a penalty.Im sure we played shit in that game.

We only won the league by a few of points we didn't exactly storm it.BMD isn't in my top two managers for Reading.I would put Pardew above him

And no other team had any luck during the season!
You just can't win a league over the season with luck

Statue of Katsia

We should also take the Molly Malone from Dublin and put her here.

That was a superb performance from Federici. Goalkeepers count.

On Wiki:

"Reading F.C. supporters sing the song, changing the name of Molly Malone to Kylie Minogue, and replacing the last line with "Singing" followed by the hook line of one of Minogue's hit songs. Initially I Should Be So Lucky was used, but in recent years this has been replaced by one of her more recent hits."

Have been to Reading games for many years, heard and sung the Molly Malone song many times, but never heard the Kylie Minogue element!?
