Super Kevin Bremner! Love it if Red Bull bought us

Already quite well off for wide players aren't we though?

Watts had to respond to the rumours on here that an exclusivity deal had been signed and searched the archive for a pic to flesh out the story a bit.

The bloke on the left looks a bit like one of the Venkys (sp?) clan who have done so well at Blackburn.

The one in the middle looks a bit like Michael Portillo (in the Photoshop above I mean!)

And the one on the right looks like a right spiv! (Oh .... of course, we know about him now don't we).

PLEASE GOD NOOOO!!!!!!

F8cking Samuelson has a damn bare-faced cheek still turning up to games & wearing a Reading coat after the way TSI have let everyone down.

I didn't realise he'd turned up as recently as the Sheff Weds game.

It's a shame the West Stand supporters aren't the type to start any chanting. It would be nice to know he was there so we can let him (and through him Anton) know just what a bunch of c*nts they are.

But please, no Madejski adulation afterwards because he too has to carry some responsibility for the mess and state of limbo that the club is currently in.

Samuelson's been at all the U18 and U21 games recently as well tbf. At least he's still there, working behind the scenes. For all we know he's been let down by Anton as well.

If he was serious about Reading he could buy the club. He's more than likely wealthier than SJM, he was involved with MENATEP and Russian industry and now owns 'discrete' investment for some of the wealthiest individuals in the world. That's what I don't get about it.

He's a middle man. A facilitator. He'll be paid plenty of his work, for sure, but a billionaire? No chance.

There's no conflict if the club is negotiating with a single buyer. I know football clubs are privately owned etc but if the fans have any part to play at all then maybe they should have some sort of input into whether they think the prospective new owners are suitable.

Sadly if the fans were allowed a say the question asked would be 'are you going to throw endless money at the club' and as long as the answer was 'yes' they'd get the nod from the majority

We can't be far off hearing something official now. The club went public when we signed the same agreement with TSI. I just hope SJM has been extra thorough this time and not been sold another pack of lies. Getting this one wrong could well see us go the way of so many mismanaged clubs.

What makes you think we're even close to a deal - I thought it sounded like there was nothing close ...

If we have signed an exclusivity agreement then we're very close. It'll now be up to the Football League and due diligence.

Wouldn't say its necessarily close. Could still be a lot of negotiation.Heads of Terms are not legally binding. On average I would say 3 months although things occasionally can move very quickly.
