The quenelle gesture is - if you take the excuse given by it’s anti-Semitic inventor to distance it from its blatant, darker undertone - meant to be simulating ‘fisting’ somebody up to the shoulder.
I’m not sure where we currently stand on goalscorers giving the finger, imitating sucking a cock, or tossing off an invisible hard-on but in the interest of ‘free-speech’ I thank civilised society for sticking up for ‘appropriate speech’ as much as it’s championed counterpart.
