soggy biscuit I do think Robben made a lot out of it. Doesn't mean it wasn't a foul & penalty though, just that he did a good job of making it look much worse than it was.

A bit like Suarez the other day....

I think City and Arsenal have both saved a bit of face by having players sent off and "putting in a good shift", as they say, with just 10 men.
Does anybody honestly believe though that they would have not been beaten if it had stayed at 11 v 11 ?

in City's case, losing Demichelis notably improved them.

Can't help but think that football is just such a dishonest sport these days that a lot of players instinct is to dive or exagger8 no matter what position they are in. If they had time to think through the situation I think a fair few would choose to stay on their feet and score but it is such a part of their natural behavior that even clear through on goal and about to score, if a defender nudged them slightly they would throw themselves to the ground before they have even engaged their brain

not to excuse them btw, just to emphasise how f***ing sh*t football has become

I read that he has been quite disliked in Germany for a while. Basically seen as underperforming and not worthy of a place in the squad let alone team. Though he did set up the goal for Mario Gotze on Wednesday.

The media there apparently quite dislike him and have been heavily critical, which in turn obviously hands mongs who can't think for themselves an opinion to hold as their own.

Ah so its like Rooney for us then?

Its no surprise Ozil isn't performing for Arsenal either, if his fellow countrymen don't like him

Is this the season when Arsenal's 9 year wait for a trophy comes to an end...only Wigan, Hull and Sheffield Utd in their way now....

Personally though, i can't see Wigan being a problem to Arsenal - what Arsenal do, that City didn't [yesterday], is work the ball around the pitch quickly, drawing players out of position.

I can see Hull being a potential banana skin in the final though
