tmesisRoyalBluesandman And hasn't he done brilliantly since? Sheesh, we let go of a no mark like Jamie Ashdown who conceded a goal practically every game he played for us and has played about 100 games, if that, since he left and you have a go at Madejski. So he got himself a better deal, he also flushed his career down the toilet at the same time.
Before you go on about an FA Cup winners medal how many times did he actually play to earn the thing?
Doesn't matter. He still got himself a much better offer when Madejski had scoffed at that possibility.
When did Madejski scoff at the possibility of Ashdown getting a better offer? The only reason he left was because Portsmouth were offering better money. And why do I scoff at Madejski?
Because you are utterly obsessed

Sutekhwally bassoontidus_mi2 I loved reading those tweets on the previous page, especially the one about not producing first team players when the list of former academy players currently in the top 2 tiers of English football is:
Gylfi Sigurdsson
Jem Karacan
Alex Pearce
Alex McCarthy
HRK
Simon Church
Simon Cox
Ben Hamer
Jordan Obita
Jake Taylor
Michael Hector
Took a bit of liberty adding Hector and Taylor to the list since they're bit-part players at the moment but they're not too far off, did I miss anyone?
How many came through between 1995 - 2005?
I can only think of
Neville Roach
Byron Glasgow
Any others?
And we were playing at a lower level
This shows how far the youth system has come.
David Bass
Adam Lockwood
Alex Haddow
Philip Hadland

RoyalBluewinchester_royal Jamie Ashdown too
Still remember Madejski smuggly pronouncing that we had made Ashdown a very good offer and basically wishing him luck if he really thought he could better it elsewhere! Soon after, Ashdown accepted that hard to find offer.

Bloke in the headband...worst player i have seen here all season
appalling all game
is he real?
He was hilariously poor wasn't he.
I think the headband bloke was Kasper Gorkss - he was useless. Infact the whole Reading team played poorly but Mr.Headband was head and shoulders above the rest in the crap department.

Progrebnyak was a close second and didn't have the excuse of only seeing out of one eye.
Wayne Bridges not at his international best ?
They looked handy going forward, but were poor at the back.

Both sides were a bit crud
It's funny how shit we played and yet we took a point away from home against a side just outside the play offs. Goes to show how bad this league is.
Poor performance against a very average side.
We were unlucky not to score two or three, but then again, Reading could feel about the same.
So, a draw is a fair result.
Ponegbrynak should be taking a long hard look at himself, because he was an embarrassment tonight. Player of his size and build should not be going down because a player breathed near him.
Last 15 was comical, Reading couldn't keep the ball in play and we decided to have a sponsored walk
Mahrez is the absolute bollocks.
Thought you gave us a good game. It showed class what your lot did - the congratulations. Good luck for the play-offs, I'd like to see you in the Premiership personally.
Having said that, what did Reading have apart from set pieces? Not a lot at all. If they didn't get that goal out of nothing, I don't think they'd have broken us down all evening
Agree that Reading were only a threat from set pieces, they're very poor on the ball - would've been a travesty if we'd have lost to such an average side.
Surprisingly, the Reading fans were louder than I expected them to be (well the ones immediately to the right of the away end anyway.)
