SmellyAli Anyone who travels away regularly will know all about the TTC (Thames Trains Crew). Every club has a hooligan element and I'm ashamed to say that this bunch of scumbags are up there with the very worst. I can only assume nobody has mentioned them yet out of fear of reprisals.

Come on guys, we all love URZ! But let's not bury our heads in the sand. It's time to say no to the TTC and fight back against the fear that has quite clearly gripped you all.

URZ!!!!!!!1!!!! Till I die and beyond!

TTC? Are you being serious??

Is the TTC actually a thing?

Of course TTC existed. They let me hitch a ride with them once, I used to get one of the other trains normally, but a group of RFC Hoolies insisted I join them - they were ok to me, being a fellow fan, but when we got off at the station, they went mad. Singing songs about RFC, kicking an empty can down the platform. They were hard men, but they were OUR hard men and they treated me perfectly well.

Bill Brush and Dave Deltic were the ring leaders.

On our first lads holiday in Benidorm 02 we wrote TTC on all the handriers in the clubs and bars.
Obviously we were little dickheads.
I didn't actually think it was a thing either. We just wrote it for a laugh......while wearing our Hackett tops

Readingfanman Have a friend at the Chronic who has been working there a while on the paper, turns out from what he has heard at work today that the editor apparently doesn't really think he's done much wrong and that it is going to sell papers.

Not quite sure on the logic of the editor, who I have been told was having a good read of this thread earlier, who seems to be looking at short term sales (From who, I have no idea), vs losing a big potential population of sales from Reading fans who are unlikely to ever be buying the paper anytime soon!

FAO Reading Chronicle editor - I hope you let Anthony Smith punch you in the face, as clearly you have no clue as to how to edit a paper. Feel quite sorry for him, as clearly it doesn't have anything to do with the Sports team.

So you have to buy The Chronicle? So what have I been throwing in the bin all these years every time it lands on my doorstep.

Isn't there a free one called 'The Advertiser' or something? Really not sure as it only comes out to use to start fire/bbq...

Anyone unfortunate enough to receive one of these back in the day is unlikely to doubt the existence of the TTC...

It was never our intention to do so and we fully accept that hooliganism played no part in the tragic events of 15th April 1989.

A mate with his son, coming away from Stamford Bridge on tube on Tuesday, got beaten up by group of Turks. They donned ski masks then whacked him pretty bad with pool cues before running off. Really brave of them to pick on a middle-aged bespectacled bloke with his young lad - a top crew.
Prob the TTC in disguise!

WestCoast Life It was never our intention to do so and we fully accept that hooliganism played no part in the tragic events of 15th April 1989.

"Football hooliganism may be thought of as a relic from a previous age when gangs of denim-clad skinheads held the game to ransom and names like Hillsborough and Heysel were symbols of its ills."

No intention? :?
