STAR Prog Notes - Barnsley - Elections

by STAR Liaison » 26 Mar 2014 09:28

As requested on a previous thread we are now posting our match day programme notes on our website - http://star-reading.org/

For the moment these will appear under Latest News on the front page of the site.

The subject of yesterday's article is the forthcoming / annual election to the STAR Board and sets out why members might want to stand and how they could go about seeking election.

Get off! The promotion quest is not dead yet.

I refer you to the 0-3 home defeat to Barnsley on 11 March 1995. Also pretty humbling at the time.

Yeah well you're wrong I'm afraid, I don't have the time to spare right now and I'm not in the right frame of mind to do it this time round. Plus the small point that I wouldn't get 10 current STAR members to support my application!

But if you read the programme page you will realise that you are out of date as it isn't 10 nominations now.

I think it was changed 3 years ago but not sure how goodmy memory is now :)

That's right. If you read the article you will see that you need just 4 members of STAR to support your candidature not 10.

We look forward to hearing you all ... seriously. www.star-reading org

When I looked last year it said 10 - as I commented about it on here.

Another time then, RL.

As a point of detail, I understand from someone who came on the STAR board last year they only required 4 signatures.

Sebastian I for one like this new, more open, more communicative attitude from STAR.
