Ian Royal Depends on who else you've got in the squad for Wellbeck IMO, if you've got left wing / forward covered (which I think Lallana does), take Rodriguez. If not go with Wellbeck.

It does depend on who else in he squad yes, but hasn't Rodriguez played as much out wide as he has through the middle, just like Wellbeck?
Hodgson certainly played him there at Wembley.

Hoop Blah Thinking about it right now, if the World Cup was to kick off tomorrow, my side would probably be (4-2-3-1'ish).
Hart, Walker, Cahill, Lescott, Cole, Gerrard, Wilshire, Johnson (Adam), Rooney, Lallana, Sturridge
Wilshire looks like he's coming back into form. Cole keeps his place over Baines, just, with Lallana and Adam Johnson on the wings (Milner on the bench to cover everybody).

Hoop Blah Lambert v Carroll is still quite a question mark for me. I really like Lambert but I just think that Carroll is more of a handful and more 'different' for most defences to handle.

Fair point I thought made in commentary for the West Ham game yesterday that Carroll's introduction, whilst troublesome for an opposition defence, might have a detrimental effect on the way we are playing, negating any benefit from his being on the pitch.

gazzer, loyal royal just got a funny feeling that with Walker being injured and played out of position there is a chance for someone else at right back. Flanagan has been steady as a rock for Liverpool this year, can play either side and is pretty good defensively too. an outside bet if there ever was one

Royalclapper Henderson isn't anything special and there'll be little difference if him or Carrick play.
