Extended-Phenotype Watching somebody play sport well >>>>>>> watching somebody find a loophole in sport, play it in a shit way but still win IMO

Bit sad to follow sport just for the winning.

:?:

Reading are your team, so presumably it is them you want to see win regardless of performance?

you said just for the winning
its clearly not.

winning is more important to me right now than performance
in fact it always has been,

people who think otherwise are like the west ham fans who said theyd rather go down that stay up with fat sam etc

Meh. Not really paid any attention to the West Ham thing. But if a fan isn't enjoying the football, I don't see much point in them attending.

 you are the one who is all about the winning.

For sad people, I guess football is all about pain and suffering. However, I watch it because I enjoy it and it entertains me. If it stops entertaining me, luckily I have plenty of other options - I'm going to do something else.

Which sort of begs the question that if you watch football to entertain you why the f[u]ck did you choose to watch Reading?

Because they are my local team and I found the experience entertaining.

It's only as complicated as you want it to be.

At what point does one decide they're going to stop going because it's not working for them any more? what if the following game is an actual humdinger? which we win?

I guess a prolonged period of being bored, resulting in missing more and more games because you've become easier and easier to talk into doing something else more fun, gradually declining your attendance down to f/ck all without really noticing.

I've gone less this season than last season and to be honest I can't see me being that fussed next season at all - not really enjoyed the football whatsoever; been a few decent days out but would have been as good (if not better) going out in (any) town for a bite/beer/kneesup/gathering - football isn't really the important glue for me.

yes, i believe there is something wrong with everyone who supports a football team, and continues to do so in the same way for their whole life
