The Leicester game

With the foxes needing just 7 points to secure auto, it could well be pay back time when they come here in two weeks for us having the audacity to get promoted at their place back in 2006,
stand by for a mass blue invasion from the midlands, 20,07 kick off to commemorate 25 years since the Hillsborough disaster

Beating them may also be our only chance to stop them taking our 106 points record. I'm not sure I can stomach sitting through it.

They can only afford to drop 2 points if they want to beat it, that could happen Tuesday night when they go to Wigan, if they win there then I fear for our record

Fair play to them if they do get promoted at Madejski, would be well deserved, although a win would mean so much as it would keep us our record, if it is 2 points they need to drop, even a draw would be okay, would be equal jubilence then, them cause they'd secure promotion, and us because we keep our record. Collective scenes.

They need to drop 4 points, not 2, so we wouldn't necessarily keep our record if we drew with them.

That is correct but windermere royal correctly said that they could afford to drop 2 points. If they drop 3 then they hold the record jointly with ourselves (so we would still hold that record) and if they drop 4 points then we would own that record still. So if we hold them to a draw that would not be good enough unless they have lost at least 1 point elsewhere (at Wigan?).

Guess that if we are still in play-off contention we won't be so gracious if they beat us. I remember being at that game and 50% of their fans stayed behind to applaud us

I expect them not losing helped.

Should they get the promotion they deserve at the Madejski, I'd like to think that we show as much class as they did to us in 2006...champagne in the dressing room, very respectful to us as supporters etc

It's one of the few things I like in football when your team has almost nothing to play for. Would be nice to be there when a team gets promoted/wins the league and see their celebrations.

Being the middle class family club that we are I also fully expect that on the final whistle if they are promoted that we would end up giving them a big round of applause too.

I'm not sure we've got the money for champagne so I think they'll have to make do with a couple of bottles of Asti Spumante from Costco.

Why is everyone so worried about the record? It will take them an awful lot to beat it, especially once they've secured promotion. Several of the teams they play still have promotion/relegation to worry about. They aren't just going to roll over. I can see them equallying it at most. Calm down.

They are a goal down, so as it stands they can only get 106 points

Tricky this as I'd like Wigan to drop points. Would actually rather Leicester win tonight as in the context of our season we need them to beat our rivals.

Leicester have equalised. Good!!

They'd still need 7 wins to get 107 - highly unlikely.
