Oh and JM is a hero for deliberately sticking around to guide us after deliberately rejecting Anton's money for the full 100% on purpose deliberately.

I understand that RL is incredibly rich and racist - why doesn't she buy the club? Then she can exclude as many black players as she wants.

Which will be all of them.

ZacNaloen Because if our Wage bill is over 3 million a month then we might not have the income to cover it.

How on earth would we have a £36 million wage bill? In the premier league maybe, but not after dropping back down.

because one of the REALLY REALLY stupid things that happened at the end of last season is that some players successfully renegotiated their contracts to get INCREASED wages, presumably as some kinda oxf*rd reward for bringing us down

Ouroboros Missed this thread.

Can someone give me a quick summary of the last 160 pages?

Loads of people have looked but no offers. Thats about it!

Although there was an exclusivity agreement with the Omani, Yanks, Saudis, Italians, Chinese, etc. but it wasn't taken up.

He deserves it. He kicked the ball in a direction he actually intended a few weeks back. It really was a sight to behold.

Received the information from someone very much in the know, due to their senior position in the hierarchy at the club. The other snippet was the waste of money (7 figure sum) from the Russian on handwoven carpet throughout the hospitality suites

Or maybe some of our younger star players, who we didn't want to lose, were being courted by other clubs and we wanted to encourage them to stay. Even though we were relegated, some of our players were less to blame than others and remain very good players who we didn't/don't want to lose. So maybe they were able to successfully renegotiate their contracts to get increased wages.

So with the past record on this thread that's one deal that won't happen

Which is pretty much what we did with Hunt and Doyle the last time we were relegated as we knew they'd fetch a decent transfer fee if we failed to go up. McCarthy aside I'm not sure the same applies to anyone else in our currrent team.
