SydenhamRoyal
Silver Fox 'greed, gonna need some evidence for that one Syders

Received the information from someone very much in the know, due to their senior position in the hierarchy at the club. The other snippet was the waste of money (7 figure sum) from the Russian on handwoven carpet throughout the hospitality suites

How on earth would we have a £36 million wage bill? In the premier league maybe, but not after dropping back down.

because one of the REALLY REALLY stupid things that happened at the end of last season is that some players successfully renegotiated their contracts to get INCREASED wages, presumably as some kinda oxf*rd reward for bringing us down

Or maybe some of our younger star players, who we didn't want to lose, were being courted by other clubs and we wanted to encourage them to stay. Even though we were relegated, some of our players were less to blame than others and remain very good players who we didn't/don't want to lose. So maybe they were able to successfully renegotiate their contracts to get increased wages.

thats what he said

It's not Italians E-P, it's Paladini that might raise a few alarm bells ringing. The guys an absolute fruitcake.

They've denied he's involved anyway so hopefully it isn't a problem.

Amid the confidentiality and commitment to privacy, there has been an indication following Reading’s promotion that TSI might be more closely linked to Anton Zingarevich’s father, Boris, than has previously been disclosed.

Madejski’s comments give hints that the 29-year-old Anton Zingarevich, the source of whose personal wealth is unknown, is not the sole TSI investor, [though he had previously been seen as such. His father’s wherewithal is more obvious: he is the co-founder of Ilim Pulp, one of the world’s largest timber-and-paper conglomerates, and the largest single shareholder in Ener1, a New York-based power-source companyhttp://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/reading/9212637/Premier-League-investigate-Russian-takeover-of-Reading.html

Just heard a great interview by NH on BBCRB.

Spoke for about 10 mins and actually said bugger all. Kept talking about it being a transition period. Perhaps they might charge us transitional prices for our season tickets next year then.

That is from April 2012, before they'd even taken over.
That's a bit different to Anton/Samuelson denying that Boris was ever involved...

I do agree with you that I remember some early whisperings that Boris wasn't involved. It's just what you have provided neither supports nor undermines your cause.

Yeah, I didn't dig very deep - but I'm certain it was stated that Boris was nothing to do with it in the beginning.

So in that little interview with NH before the match, is it me or did he basically answer nothing except "Anton is in Russia and I can't say why".

Compelling stuff

Yeah, I heard a bit of the interview - and all he would keep saying is "He's had a baby" and "He's not as visible as he was here" or something similar - no shite sherlock.

What's he going to say?

He's out of money and done a runner?

His baby's got health problems?

His daddy's locked him in a cupboard?

Well, personally, I thought it was obvious he was no longer interested for whatever reason, and we're having to find a buyer - so he could have talked more about that?

So, come on, who was sitting in the Reading seats in the CAFC directors' box today?

Any of these?
