No mention of the U21 game v Sunderland at Basingstoke tonight?

Anyway, Ledge is playing 45 mins and is captain. Ugwu also returns from injury, must admit I had wondered what had happened to him.

Team is: Lincoln, Keown, Griffin, Cooper, Sweeney, Long, Tshibola, Leigertwood, Murombedzi, Ugwu, Tanner
Subs: Moore, Shaughnessy, Lawal, Husin, Taylor-Crossdale

FT 1-1 Sunderland scored late equaliser. Bit disappointing, looking at the updates we could have gone 2-0 up earlier in the half with Tanner hitting the bar.

A very young U18's beat Man Utd 2-1

Also looks like we've signed a US u18 player for next season

Young striker (?) Josh Barrett made his debut, and has been called up for the Republic of Ireland.

Just noticed that's it's on tonight. I can't ever recall a youth game being shown live before and certainly not a semi final.

One of the benefits of living with a Man Utd fan (and his MUTV subscription) is that I was able to catch the highlights of this game this morning. Barrett looks like another off the conveyor belt of talented no. 10's that we seem to be producing right now. Clearly the best player on the pitch, which is impressive considering he's an u16.

Interested to know the who played, the club always seem reticent to provide details on these matches.

The other ones who stood out to me (and my boyfriend) were Lewis Collins (the lad we signed from Grimsby) and Waritay (who has a touch of the Tshibola's) in the middle of the park, and Zak Jules and Jake Sheppard at the back. It was obviously a young team as I didn't recognise the names of quite a few of them, but I think Urbancic was playing too.

Sky used to have FA Youth Cup games, but I'm thinking 10 years ago.

I'm actually quite excited by this.

Nah I only just get out of work in time to make the 7pm kick offs at Madejski let alone getting to Craven Cottage.

Might make the extra effort for the Final* though and get the day off.
