£150. I put the bet on at 3-1, shame I didn't do it at 3-0 as I was thinking about it.

'grats. You should stick it all on a Judas bet on Monday. Leicester are a tasty 7/5

Those first two Wigan pens were diabolical.

English-style tap and hope pens

Absolutely. MacArthur's wasn't great either, trailing leg could easily have stopped that and you look really stupid if the keeper doesn't move. Beausejour's penalty was superb though.

By contrast Arsenal's penalties were perfect, sending Carson the wrong way and right in the corners.

What was your opinion on the colour of the ball, Ian?
Sun went down at half time and I found myself squinting throughout the 2nd half trying to keep it in focus.

I was only half watching, but I didn't really notice the colour apart from when Gomez had to wait ages for his penalty.

Not really. It's how every team celebrates a penalty shoot out win

One thing I didn't agree with though was the sudden applause during the minutes silence of the Hillsborough disaster at the fa cup semi final

It was supposed to be a respect thing not a celebration of their life

Good job from Howard Webb to change his mind after speaking to the lino in the Palace/Villa game. Seen that a couple of times in the last couple of weeks.

Exactly. The amount of comments on Twitter slagging Arsenal off for celebrating was laughable. A semi-final win from a penalty shoot out is always great no matter the opposition.

Eh I found it over the top for winning a semi final and having barely beaten a Championship side at that.

So?

Gotta remember none of these players have won anything with the club and now they're in a final - I'd celebrate too. Not celebrating would have made them look arrogant IMHO

It's just a release for the massive tension that builds up over 120 minutes and then penalties. I'd expect them to celebrate like that having one a second round league cup game in the same way.

our u18s celebrated winning in that fashion when they beat liverpool and was it crewe? On pens.
