Big Ern Pathetic result so far from a pathetic team. I would say "roll on next season" but that is going to be worse with the few decent players we have being sold.

Ern - which players are those? I'd be happy to have a mass clear out. Think it's needed.

Wouldn't disagree, but the last thing we want is a repeat of the last "clear out" we had - and that at the hands of a manager that is going to win the Premier League.

If mass clear out means getting Gylfi, Long & Bertrand back I could cope with that. Those 3 are all streets ahead of anything at this club now despite our wage bill being higher than ever..

How have we managed to fcuk it all up so badly?

sandman Avon ROFLyal once again defending the absolutely indefensible Nigel Adkins 'Reading FC' crap wagon with a pop at the previous manager.

It's because he is so clueless.

I think the 655 fans that made the trip today deserve something a bit more than a "thank you" from the club.

Stay down.
Forget about takeovers.
Don't fcuk about.
Get rid of the big wage earners.
And sell McCarthy.
Pocket the parachute.
Bring more youngsters through on much lower wages.
Stabilise the finances in one season.
And reap the rewards in a couple of seasons.
Easy.

All dependent on making the decision not to fcuk about.

Yeah, I'm the "clueless" one for daring to defend a manager who hasn't been allowed to bring in his own players and has been left with the dross that McDermott brought in. By all means judge Adkins after he's had a fighting chance, but laying into him now just makes you sound pathetic.

genome Who's going to take the players though?

There will be suited for quite a few of our players, and some like Jobi and Gorkšs will not have their contracts renewed. All depends how much of a fire sale we actually have as even players like Pearch and Morrison would attract other Championship clubs. We will probably lose about 8-10 players over the summer and bringin only a couple of cheapies.

I honestly think that is the ownership situation is not sorted we will be fighting relegation next season with a side field with sub standard Bosman and academy players.

He has been here over a year, and he has signed Drenthe, Williams and Bridge.

No issue with Williams. Drenthe was a luxury Anton signing to sell shirts & my guess is Adkins didn't think Bridge would be injured the entire season.

Indeed, things can go stale very quickly if your not careful. Look at Blackpool.

 at you if you think any of those were signed at Adkins' request. They were Anton's vanity signings and everyone knows it.

Give one example of something Adkins has done since he's been here that suggests he has any managerial ability

"Leeds" is not an acceptable answer

Agreed, but not so easy. We did everything we could to get rid of Pog last summer, but no one would touch him on his wages. Now we have him and Drenthe to shift, and you could possibly add HRK and Pearce to that who got bigger deals last summer, and neither have justified it.

The main problem wasn't the summer window it was, obviously, the January one. We went from SJM promising the funds would be there to not bringing one bloody player in to bolster an injury riddled side.

Pog won't stay. I sense he has some level of professionalism in him & has probably had enough.

McAnuff, Bridge & Leigertwood are out of contract, Roberts now gone - that would be a fair chunk of cash gone. One of the keepers will also leave as Fed won't want to be a bench warmer for much longer.
