Why do we put up with this rubbish? The current crop are not good enough and haven't performed for weeks! If it didn't cost money, Adkins would have been sacked weeks ago.
Might as well put out the u21's or even u18's - at least they can pass to each other. Yet again, another season promising so much and coming to nothing. Again, no ALF! Unbelievable, Radio 5 live is taking the mickey out of us - hope Roberts has a word with them!

Royal Rother Stay down.
Forget about takeovers.
Don't fcuk about.
Get rid of the big wage earners.
And sell McCarthy.
Pocket the parachute.
Bring more youngsters through on much lower wages.
Stabilise the finances in one season.
And reap the rewards in a couple of seasons.
Easy.

All dependent on making the decision not to fcuk about.

Sadly we can't forget about takeovers because Zingarevich pwna a controlling stake in the club!

It really is irrelevant now. Boro will finish us off on Tuesday night no doubt. Luckily I will not be using my ST as I'm on holiday.

I think we can safely say that the season won't go beyond the 46 games for us.

Im beginning to think Southampton are a bit like Swansea in their setup. It doesn't matter who you put in charge the players/backroom staff/coaches know what to do and do it robotically on the pitch. Did Laudrup and Adkins try to change too many things there and those clubs didn't like it? Just putting it out there.
I wanted him at Reading but Im just starting to wonder a bit. A good manager should be able to lift even the most average of players. Look a bit above and youll see Pullis turn a hopeless situation around. All Im seeing is a team going backwards and that looks like it needs major surgery. The thing is, is it the whole team or just a few tweaks that are needed with someone else in charge. One or the other because even without the injuries we have been pretty awful in parts of the season.

MmmMonsterMunch How have we managed to fcuk it all up so badly?

1) Anton
2) Injuries
3) Adkins

I think Madejski needs to come in a number two. F#ck knows how someone reputed to be a great businessman and his advisors managed to structure and sign up to a deal that enabled ZIngarevich to renege in the manner he did. It's a bit like Nationwide lending me money on a house without ensuring that they had the right to kick me out and and repossess the property if I decided I wasn't going to repay the outstanding mortgage!

Agreed, and Wolves and hopefully Orient. Fulham coming down would be another decent away day.

I was holding out hope but I fully agree with that now. In an important game like this not being able to muster more than one shot on goal (which we had in the opening moments of the game)? Hate to say it but just not good enough for the play-offs...

Saints should rightly have romped League 1 with the likes of Lambert, Shaw & Lallana playing.

So now explain away Adkins' other successes.

An alternative theory - at his other clubs he had proper backing from the owners?

'Wigan playing at walking pace now. Powell almost taking the Mickey'.

Perhaps Jack Collinson will run back on and kick Powell in the knees.
