Elm Park Kid For the sake of squad depth you don't really want to see anyone leave, but if it meant getting them replaced with someone better i'd have to say:

1. Kelly
2. Gorkss
3. Karacan
4. Obita
5. McAnuff

Not Karacan please...I might cry and so will my Mum and she's really old

Extended-Phenotype If they are going to piss themselves reducing this wage bill, they'd better make sure they reduce the ticket price with it. I'm not paying prem prices to watch our under-21's finish bottom half of the table and neither will many others.

You aren't paying Prem prices. You got Championship football for championship prices in the Premier League last season.

Season ticket prices in the Prem range from £399 - £985. Ours was £525.

Not if you renewed early it wasn't. That was for new season ticket holders.

Fair enough. I'll amend my statement. If we are going to sell all our best players I hope the ticket price reflects the quality left and the wage they are on, if that is apparently the measure of ability we keep hearing so much about in debates regarding the transfer window.

Slash the wage bill by half, cut ticket prices by half please.

Lose the high earners such as Drenthe, Guthrie, Bridge and Pogrebnyak.

Get rid of those with bad attitude such as Blackman.

Yeh. 'Value for money' doesn't really apply to any of them. Yet, anyway.

I'd have personally gone with "because he can't kick a football in an intended direction" over bad attitude but the result is the same.

Things have probably moved on a little in the last six weeks with our continued poor form and further rumours of issues behind the scenes.

I'd still like to keep a few of the better players but the majority of the below out of contract players will likely be out the door.

Stuart Taylor
Nick Arnold
Wayne Bridge
Kaspars Gorkss
Michael Hector
Lawson D'Ath
Mikele Leigertwood
Jobi McAnuff
Jake Taylor
Jason Roberts
Aaron Tshibola
Gozie Ugwu

It sounds like we'll be going cheap and cheerful this summer!

WHY 5 ? get rid of all of them, then resign them at a new lower wages contract.as we are only a little team ,as so many of our opponents claim.

Yup, pretty much this from the regular first team squad and not including the young'uns about whom I know so very little that I can't comment. Therefore keep at a real stretch:

Pearce
Morrison
Gunther
Obita
Karacan
Williams
McCleary
Hector
Akpan
ALF

..... errrr, that's it. And, from what I can tell from the young'uns:

Keown
Tshibola
Tanner
Ugwu ... and possibly Samuel.

Seems to ignore that we lowered our cheapest match day tickets by 32% on relegation. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24014727
And Championship STs range from £195 - £455 making ours decent value at about £400, if towards the upper end, although you'd expect that seeing as we've just been in the PL and are at the upper end of the table (just about).

1) Roberts
2) Gorkss
3) Leigertwood
4) Pogrebnyak
5) Drenthe

That's an interesting link to prices of watching football Ian. How can Ipswich charge more for their top-price season tickets than all other clubs other than Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea (all premier league sides with London locations and prices)? Wigan give particularly good value given the quality of their side and the fact that they too were a premier league outfit last season.

Our top-price ST ticket also looks good value at £445 where Championship top-price tickets vary from £335 (Wigan) to £1061 (Ipswich). (Or up to £750 - Leicester - if we ignore Ipswich).

As a renewing old fart I will be paying £230!!

BraisingsteakRoyal
maffff So what would the squad look like for next season?

Goalkeepers
Andersen, Henly, Lincoln

Defence
Central
Pearce, Morrison, Hector, Sweeney

Full backs
Obita+, Kelly, Gunter, Cummings, Griffin, Keown, Long,

Midfielders
Central
Williams, Karacan, Akpan, Tshibola, Kuhl, Kelly

Wingers/CAM
Blackman*, Edwards, Tanner

Strikers
Robson-Kanu*, Uwgu, Samuel

* should be positionally inverted imho
+ could be on the wing, hopefully Kelly won't be first choice LB..

+ Others signed

Defence and central midfield, could be ok. Upfront we'd be stuffed. Decent core, but relegation fodder.

That's working on the absolutely worst case scenario with losses of:

Arnold, Baird, Bridge, Carriço, D'Ath, Drenthe, Federici, Gorkss, Guthrie, Le Fondre, McAnuff, McCarthy, McCleary, Pogrebnyak, Roberts, J Taylor, S Taylor

Can only see half of them going tbf, and regardless of what people think of our finances, we'll get a few in over the summer.

I will not be paying £26 to watch that.

I would pay £26 to watch that. You'd see more passion than these bunch of morons and how much money would we raise. It's still a top 6 squad to be fair
