Sanguine Interesting article comparing the treatment of racism in the NBA to the football world; LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling has this week been fined $2.5m and banned for life, having been recorded asking someone not to bring 'blacks' to a game or associate them with his team.

Raises some good points about the decisive action taken by the NBA commissioner, and self-indulgent tweeting that followed the Alves incident last week.

Sanguine I think it's fair to contrast the decisive and significant reaction to Sterling's actions with the almost apologetic approach to this issue by football's governing bodies.

He was spinning that line a year ago, clearly he misses being talked about. The simple fact is there isn't enough good black managers. It's got nothing to do with colour. You can't just employ a black manager to get the quota up ffs.
