ddetisi It may have been said before but we could do as QPR did with Barton, he wanted to stay with Marseilles but he was told he had to play for the club he was contracted to.
Rightly so as well. The amount of money these guys are paid i don't care if he goes home and cries into his Sevilla pillow.

I don't think we can. The loan deal (I believe) was set up with a set fee to be had if Sevilla were happy with him and he wanted to go, sort of deal completed in all but name. If what's rumoured is true, then this whole sorry episode will be concluded with us only getting the money we paid out for him, when we could have got much more than that either off of Sevilla or someone else. Even if we were to go up, then again he might decide to stay where he is and there might be naff all we can do about it.

Sign an injured player when we needed an immediate impact, refuse to play him when he's fit, then loan him out on a backfiring contract. Epic fail.

Z175 More interestingly, has a current Reading player ever won a European trophy? Sort of pips Alex McCarthy's League 2 goalkeeper of the year!
