Victor Meldrew
Ian Royal
Victor Meldrew Anybody else hear Ledge on BBCRB?
I'm not sure I heard it right but I thought he said that the plan was to defend for the last 10 minutes.
If that is the case I would be annoyed to think that we didn't really go for it.

bullshit. McCarthy looked to the bench to see if he should go forward for a corner and was waived on.

Ian,
Why do you have to be so downright rude?
My question was whether anybody had heard Ledge on the radio?
We all saw McCarthy about to go forward in injury time when it was clear that those on the bench Knew Brighton had scored.

Legs did say that they were hoping that the Brighton score was going to be put up on the scoreboard, which implies that the team weren't all aware that Brighton had taken the lead and would have thrown everything at Burnley had they known of the absolute need to get three points at the end.

JC At the end of the day injuries have cost us dearly this season. Is it a coincidence that the sports scientist was changed 3 months into the season?

Yes, because the previous one had already got a pretty poor record with injuries by that point!

Tbf, there was only a minute left in our game when Brighton scored, so wouldn't have made much difference.

kwik-silva I thought it was Gunter that almost got on the end of it but I could be hugely wrong?

Indeed, despite Sky Sports, even with the benefits of replays, insisting it was Pog!

Gunter is one of the quickest, if not the quickest runner in the squad, few others would have got there in time.

No. Brought in his own man who is, much like his assistant manager the 'defensive coach' Mr Crosby, absolutely useless.

Did anyone else catch the comment on BBCBerks about how a number of players had a meeting with Adkins midway through the season to tell him the tactics weren't working?

Very interesting.

Play the diamond consistently mcleary or hal in behind either striker worked a dresm in the second half, hopefully players and fans can carry passion and fight of that game into next season

You could see it coming couldn't you? The queers getting a late goal, if we had scored and won we would have come 5th. Slim margins. Fair play to them though I guess, the league table doesn't lie. Lets be honest, we've been average or worse for the majority of the season and we were all shocked that we still had a chance today, so it shouldn't come as great surprise. Hard to take all the same.

I was absolutely gutted but now I'm starting to think it might be a good thing. The team is not ready to go back up and would have got thrashed most weeks and gone back down if we had, after spending next to nothing again. At least in the Championship next season we can spend next to nothing and still be in with a chance. Let Adkins build some sort of team that he wants, get a few decent players in on the cheap, some that can actually play football. It doesn't matter if they are from lower leagues they will still have hunger. Concentrate on bringing other youngsters like Taylor and Hector into the first team, clear out the deadwood and let go some high earners go to allow more money. Maybe now AZ will fcuk off too.

I'm guessing we will probably have to sell our best players (there is probably only 2 or 3 worthy of playing PL) and even though I would be sad to see them go, perhaps it is essential to the rebuilding process that must begin in the summer.

That's not fair! Some parts have made it into 1974.

You obviously don't get it m8. It's funny because Brighton has a rep for being full of gays, who are sometimes derogatorily referred to as 'queers'. Had me rofl'ing for a good 5 mins.

CBA reading the rest but thought we played well today & were unlucky not to take the three points.

Unbelievably I missed Garath Mac's wonder goal as I was trying to get the bloody 3G working on my phone to check the Brighton score.

We took 7 points out of 9 in the last three games - it was Barnsley, Yeovil & Sheff Wed & the likes that cost us a play off place. We shouldn't really have still been in with a shout.

Alex McCarthy wasn't paying attention when they waved him up for the corner. They'd been trying to get him to go up for a good 20 seconds before he saw them.

Sorry I didn't stay for the lap. Couldn't face it. Nigel has done a great job with what he has at his disposal, but with no cash I'm worried about next season. Wish I had now as prob last time MacCleary, McCarthy & a few others will be in the hoops.

Can't pick out any bad performances today. If we had kept it tight after taking the lead rather than losing our heads a little who knows?

Btw when was the last time any team actually did us a favour?!

Doubt you'll see a better one for quite some time. It was Zidane-esque.

And especially as he will be off along with many more players in the summer. We had chances to win it, didn't take them, got punished for that!

Now begins the dismantling of the squad, which for alot of the players I am not too bothered about. It is players like Mcleary that have actually given some enjoyment in watching football this season with his assists and goals, hope we can hold on to him.
