floyd__streete RoyalBlue It was a great win and the good news is that I believe the Ladies team's funding is ring-fenced and secure. Far more grounds for optimism around the women's game, at club and country level, than the mens' at present!
That's not 'good news'.....if they are being funded by the main football club at this time that is absolutely ludicrous.
If only your optimism was shared by others. Crowds at these fourth-rate matches continue to be miniscule
Grab your wife and run back to your cave now whilst the 21st Century continues to pass you by!
They are not fourth-rate matches but then we can't expect you to know as no doubt your blind prejudice has prevented you from attending to find out. As for crowds being miniscule, depends on how you define that. If the men's team goes down the plug hole due to the ownership cockup, you might find women's matches around the country are greater than those of Reading FC playing at tier x!
As for funding, I'm pretty sure it doesn't come from the main club, although the club does provide support in terms of facilities. In the past the funding has come from the Vice Presidents Club.
