genome I didn't read the whole article to be fair. I don't think we're in a position to be picky anyway. And he's done his time, right?

Exactly, but watch the bleeding heart lefties pile into this thread tripping over themselves to be the first to declare themselves appalled at the mere idea of this man being our new owner. He did his time, and makes money providing a service that people choose to pay for. Just like any businessman.

Plus I imagine Mr Abramovich has done an awful lot worse than insider trading to get where he is.

Let's hope (if it is true) that it goes through swiftly so we can hold onto key players. There are lots of players being released by other clubs that look quite tasty too, Sidwell included.

There's not a great deal of info there about his conviction but I'd guess that as the youngest convicted who only got 9 months he wasn't a criminal mastermind. The Mail would normally then celebrate his rise if it weren't for the fact he made his money from the one thing they hate more than the BBC, and only then because these fixed odds terminals take money away from the mail's own gambling concerns.

If he's got a load of money and isn't going to not have a load of money soon then he'll do I expect

Despite my earlier comments, I actually agree with this. Subject to proper due diligence obviously. More concerned we would end up with someone who loses interest.

I also found it interesting that Jonny Fordham seems to know more about this than Charles Watts based on tweets

Teddy Sagi on Forbes Lists

#687 Billionaires
#8 in Israel
#831 in 2013

Shares in Teddy Sagi's gambling software company, Playtech, rose nearly 30% in the past year, thanks in part to the $700 million sale of betting subsidiary William Hill Online in March 2013. The company also invested $60 million to buy 3% of publicly-traded London-based Ladbrokes, another betting company. Sagi owns TradeFX, which runs Markets.com, and SafeCharge, an online payments company. He has real estate in Tel Aviv, London and Berlin. He founded Playtech in 1999 and took it public on the London Stock Exchange in 2006; he now owns 49% of the company.

akranes If you are a fool and enjoy believing these rumours too much (like me).

Charles Watts ‏@charles_watts 14m
Sagi was in the chopper on Wednesday. Values at over £2 billion. Certainly comes to the table with bundles of cash and ambition #readingfc

He must be lying. SPARTA and royalgrumpy both said it was DEFINITELY the yanks.

Worrying that he is unmarried yet has a child. Not the sort of role model we want at our family club....

SPARTA hasn't exclusively revealed anything from his sources, so we'll have to wait and see if this is true.

To be fair I would look at any picture of Natalie Sawyer for a serious length of time before I got bored ....

If she was to anchor the news story of a multi-billionaire taking over RFC, Strap Towers would in all likelihood explode ....

I can focus on it just fine, what's wrong with you?

It clearly says Sir John Madejski in BOOBS with BOOBS billionaire Teddy Sagi over sale of BOOBS

Charles Watts ‏@charles_watts 2 hrs
Teddy Sagi's house is Israel is worth £28m, that's more than he would pay for #readingfc I imagine.

Charles Watts ‏@charles_watts 2 hrs
Sagi made £325m by selling 15% of his shares in his own Playtech company two months ago. Still owns 33% #readingfc

Charles Watts ‏@charles_watts 2 hrs
Told talks with Sagi are still at an early stage but have been encouraging. Other groups also still talking with the club #readingfc

Hasn't unduly hindered Cellini at Leeds - probably depends if the conviction is spent.

Was kind of trying to make a point about the fact it's a completely useless test.
