Yes agreed, woosh on my part! FPP test is a complete joke when you look at some of the current owners of clubs; Vincent Tan, the Venkys, Cellini, Abramovitch…..

Indeed, though even a rigid FPP test wouldn't foresee changing your mind and buggering off back to Russia or whatever the hell has happened with him.

Yes but it should make sure there is a clause in his contract that if he defaults he has to hand back his shares for £1 or something.

Vincent Tan and Venkys may be bonkers and have poor judgement football wise but i don't think there's anything untoward about how they made their money. In fact Vincent Tan is revered as some sort of philanthropic demigod back in Malaysia.

Cellini and Abramovich, on the other hand.........

I doubt Madejski will sellout to a guy who knows little about football and wants to be to intervening. AZ was knowledgeable about the game and looked like the ideal owner at the time, so I still trust Madejski's judgement

genome I didn't read the whole article to be fair. I don't think we're in a position to be picky anyway. And he's done his time, right?

Exactly, but watch the bleeding heart lefties pile into this thread tripping over themselves to be the first to declare themselves appalled at the mere idea of this man being our new owner. He did his time, and makes money providing a service that people choose to pay for. Just like any businessman.

Plus I imagine Mr Abramovich has done an awful lot worse than insider trading to get where he is.

You imagine?
It's fairly well known how Abramovich 'came about' his billions.

SPARTA
royalgrumpy Today's visitors are indeed American. They were also greeted by both Sir John and Nigel Howe and have been telling enquiring parties that the visitors were only there for the PlayStation event being held at stadium, the latter is via a friend at the Reading Chronicle.

Try convincing Ian Royal.

Reliable as ever.

Charles Watts even says other parties are still talking to the club.. and he acknowledged they were indeed American, but not thought to be the ones previously in talks.

Have to wait and see what happens. As we know talks may collapse again. It seems there are multiple groups interested again. Anyone will be better than AZ.

The Championship spent a load last year. Bolton are shocking! Our debt would put us in mid table ine league of debt i think.. miss play offs again!

Interesting article in the Daily Mail about Sagi(so take it with a pinch of typical DM dramatisation)....
