Bout time we had Swindon away, again, for a pre-season friendly. Or even Oxford come to that.

Club have finally posted the U21s pre-season fixtures:
- Tuesday 15th July, 7.45pm - v Basingstoke Town at the Camrose
- Saturday 19th July, 3pm v Salisbury City at Raymond McEnhill Stadium
- Tuesday 22nd July, 7.45pm v Bognor Regis at Nyewood Lane
- Friday 25th July, 7.30pm v Boreham Wood at Meadow Park
- Tuesday 29th July, 7.30pm v Hemel Hempstead Town at Vauxhall Road
- Friday 1st August, 1pm v Fulham at Hogwood Park behind closed doors
- Monday 4th August 2pm v Cardiff City at Hogwood Park behind closed doors
- Saturday 9th August, 11am v AFC Wimbledon at Hogwood Park behind closed doors
- Wednesday 13th August TBC

Seems strange that they haven't mentioned the Staines Town or Thurrock games that those two clubs have previously announced but I presume they will still take place.

So with Drenthe training with the U21's, will he be playing in their games as an over 21. Not sure if they must all be U21.

He's not even Under 21 stone.

A Reading XI is playing at Boreham Wood this evening. Squad features quite a few of U21 players who have been with the first team lately.

Provisional squad: Andersen (GK), Henly (GK), Long, Owusu, Sweeney, Hyam, Cooper, Dickie, Griffin, McLennan, Kuhl, Shaughnessy, Tshibola, Fridjonsson, Stacey, Tanner, L.Kelly, Fosu, Vastsuk, Samuel.

So is tomorrows game at Wycombe going to be more like the team that will be playing in the first league game. Can't see too many of them being in tomorrow if they play today.

Looks like it, though it's probably also being done to make sure the likes of Tanner/Kuhl/Tish get a good few minutes under their belt rather than coming on for the last 20 against Wycombe.

Yeh, good call. Leaves the centre mid a little light though. Who's gonna partner Akpan?

Hector I imagine, and I have to say the prospect of a Hector/Akpan midfield duo for the Wigan game is keeping me up at night.
