Summer 2014 Transfer Window

by jellytot » 06 Jun 2014 06:36

So I imagine it all comes down to whether a new owner comes in or not. Other teams are already doing good business. If we are not careful we will lose out on most of our potential signings.

Who will we get? Who do we need? We need at least 1 quality striker in maybe 2. We probably need acentre back too.

Will the window be as frustrating as the last?

When was the last season that the country ran out of footballers in the summer and teams weren't able to buy enough to have a squad ?

It's that time of year again when someone always starts the exact same topic.

With Pearce, Morrison, Hector, Sweeney and Cooper I'd say centreback has to be very low on the priority scale.

We're OK for strikers as well with Pogrebnyak, Robson-Kanu, Blackman plus up and coming youngsters and we know we're ok for keepers and have a surfeit of midfielders with Karacan back for next season so we don't actually need anyone. It's the Reading way.

Do you really think we will score enough goals? Sorry I don't think so. We need at least one new striker maybe 2 for depth. How many goals did Blackman and HRK last season?

Am I the only one who couldn't give an utter monkeys at this stage? World Cup to look forward to, yet too many football fans still wet themselves over transfer gossip and rumours in the papers. It is fan-girling in the extreme and very sad tbh.

I'd like a complete news black-out (and if any club can manage this, it is Reading FC) on new signings etc. and then on the first day of the season it could be a nice surprise for us all.

What do you think :?:
