One of the reasons the takeover took so long is because the FL / PL insisted on disclosure of all involved parties against the will of Samuelson. So that's not really true. The tests aren't good enough. They are better than they were though, so its moving in the right direction. But given all the dodgy owners already involved its going to be a long slow process getting it to actually work properly.

What we need in the fit and proper tests are psychological assessments to make sure they aren't going to do a runner after 18 months.

I think you might be on to something there. I'm sure the military have some techniques that the FA could adopt.

Could just seize the purchasers first born and hold them hostage. Of course Anton was childless at the time so it would have delayed the takeover a bit.

but that would allow anyone to post any ammount of random bollox without challenge
and that cant be right, can it?

here are my thoughts on the sale debacle, FWIW:

1 large ripe tomato
3 avocados, very ripe but not bruised
juice 1 large lime
handful coriander, leaves and stalks chopped, plus a few leaves, roughly chopped, to serve
1 small red onion, finely chopped
1 chilli, red or green, deseeded and finely chopped
