WC 2014 - Match 3 - Spain vs Netherlands

by stealthpapes » 13 Jun 2014 10:26

Yeah, I have to say I'm looking forwards to this one.

BUT

Dutch side?

It's schizophrenic

Midfield contains the bigger names - de jong, sneijder, robben - but the other five of them have about thirty caps between them. The most experienced defender appears to Ron Vlaar.

This could be hilarious.

What we saying then, Spain 3/4-0?

I'm thoroughly uncovinced by this Dutch side, as I was the whole of the way through the tournament last time round.

Surely this time I'll be right.

1-0 Spain. Holland eliminated in the group stage.

Though I'm excited by the prestige of this game I have a bad feeling that both sides will primarily be desperate not to lose.

Maybe not this game, but they're in a tough group and they've zero squad depth.

Cagey draw as they both look to get at least a point before facing a dangerous Chile side.

This is a very difficult game for me. Hope it will be a draw.

I hope The Netherlands win. Expecting Spain to though. Here's to another round of incompetent officials to swing it one way or another.

This game is obviously going to get hyped to oxf*rd but I think it will be cagey, niggly and low on excitement.

I don't think either side is as good as they were 4 years ago but, once again, I think Spain will squeak it 1-0

Think this could be like the England v Italy game i.e. if no one gets an early(ish) goal it might end up being a snooozefest.

0-0 with lots of red cards would be a result for football.

How would losing some of the top players in the world be of benefit to football?

It's full moon and Friday the 13th, anything could happen. Storm heading towards the stadium about time for the kick off!

I didn't know 'Nederland Hoofd Coach' actually translates to 'Man Utd's new boss' in English.

Holland look like a bunch of racists alongside the victims of their racism. Theyre a hateable side.
Saying that, Ive had enough of Spain as well. Them and their swarthy good looks.

If Al Qaeda decide to fly a plane into any of the first round matches, I hope its this one.

The Netherlands haven't lost a first WC game since 1938, that maybe about to change.
