Well, it was you who stated the ambitious plans the consortium have got for this club, and that it would become evident in eighteen months. I personally think you're wrond and that all they want to do is to keep this club going and make us as good as we can be. They are mature business people, rather than wide-eyed kids like Anton.
You may have forgotten that in the last 20 years or so, under Madejski's leadership, we have had the most successful period of our 153 year history. Even with his well documented financial worries, he didn't just let the club go, he kept in control until a suitable buyer could be found. I've never met him, and I probably wouldn't like him if I did, being the dyed-in-the-wool Thatcherite that he is, but he's done for Reading FC what nobody has done before and that's good enough for me. Alf was a good player for us, as was Morrison at the beginning of his time here, but selling them was the best thing we could have done. Cox has come back (much to the dismay of a lot of posters on here), and he is developing a decent partnership with Pog which, I'm sure will pay dividends this season and into the future. We don't yet know what Ferdinand is like he may be a success or a failure. I am not a football manager and don't know the real things that make a good player. Luckily, we have Adkins, who has had a modicum of succes in management, and I certainly trust his abilities over mine or yours. In any case, Hector didn't do a bad job on Saturday, by most accounts.
You're no different to a lot of other football fans, who demand instant success and feel depressed when we lose a game, or get relegated, or miss out on promotion. Try and take a longer view of the situation.
