harry Ouch. No way they should let Perreira back on after that.

Especially given the challenge he should have been called up on immediately after.

Well obviously, point is they weren't even making an effort whilst we were in that period of real trouble.

Ian Royal So, if we lose this I take it we're blaming the ref for not sending off Godin and lamenting the woodwork from Rooney's header?
Nah

We should be able to win against in an eleven aside contest.

We are very much work in progress....and rightly so after the stagnation of the previous eight......start the blaming and shaming in four years time.

Meanwhile....its another decent game,

Interesting use of the word progress.

We may be looking slightly better than we were, but we are still losing ground against the world's best.
think that the "work in" part of the progress thing is key Ding Dong....judge them at thee next euros then more critically at the nest WC

Just clueless for that final ball. Terrible mostly.

Second time no understanding on the touchline to lose the ball as well.

Clearly lost his head.
He got the ball, but only by totally wiping out the player.

Nah, that doesn't wash.

A "work in progress" would show signs of closing the gap. At best England are a "work in slowing regress".

Unlike Gerrard who was nowhere near the ball

Not at all. We've got better shape and playing better football. We're being done by fine margins rather than playing terribly. It won't take much to make the next step. Whether we can do it is open to question. There's still a few missing links, but a lot of players have got a lot of good experience here to take into their prime.

My opinion (and my opinion only) Ding Dong............we had already plateau'd at the arse end of the regression thing.

Things at the moment are very much still in the start-up phase......just a few more of the old guard to be stood-down, and more responsibility to be placed on some young shoulders....it'll hurt for a while, sure.

Sturridge is embarrassing falling over like that. I wonder if Liverpool practice diving.

Surely Lambert's got to come on, give Baines someone to aim crosses at.
Sturbridge has been poor.

agree. Sturridge should be looking for the early release more often. He twists and turns into traffic when he could release someone.
