With a whole squad to play with, Roy brings on the same players to play in the same position when chasing the game (and doing naff all).

Some effort would have been nice

Royal Rother Over-rated.

They should just have that in Latin below the England crest.

Nah, all they need to do is redesign the star over the badge to be like this

What is the Latin for "do you want fries with that"?

At least this thread has reminded me not to read the team board for another year.

Royal Rother Hart was poor for their 2nd goal.

Went down too early and flinched as the ball whizzed past his head. If he'd been braver he'd have stayed upright and taken it in the kisser or on the chest.

Over-rated.

Been explained by both itv and the beeb what was at fault for the second goal.

:?: I haven't heard anyone mention Hart's part in it.

Of course the chance should never have arisen in the 1st place but Hart gave himself little chance of saving it by going down early.

if he stays big and Suarez slots it near post etc etc. the ball sat up beautifully for Suarez. I doubt 2 keepers would have save it

If Gerrard hadn't flicked that on, Cavani would have done. The centre halves, Cahill in particular, were not alive to the danger and got punished. Hart beaten too easily too, but he should never have been put in that position.

Avon Royal There are counties in England with a higher population than Uruguay.

Shame, shame, shame.

Wow, I didn't know that. I always thought it was a large country for some reason. Only 6.3 million.

I'm not actually saying it was out and out his fault, but he could / should have given himself a better chance of saving it.

Luis Suarez won the game for Uruguay almost single-handedly this evening - and he has had his say.

"I dreamt this," Suarez said.
"I'm enjoying this moment, because of all I suffered, the criticism I received. So, there you go."

So should Gerrard have left it on that basis?

Jagielka is a mug. It's his mistake.

No, he should have headed it clear like any decent player would have done.

Thought we had a good first half, but a terrible second. Sterling a star again.
