Ascotexgunner Ive heard the apologists on the radio moaning why wasn't the Italian banned as well. Its hysterical their stance.
For deliberately allowing himself to be bitten ?

Hoop Blah I can't understand how Suarez and those around him think they can play dumb over this and deny it. I know he's trying to protect himself but that approach really can't help in any circumstances when the proof is so damning.

Extended-Phenotype To be fair, from his angle (and every angle provided by the replay) it looks like Defoe does little more than kiss him on the arm.
Is kissing someone an offence?

Extended-Phenotype Er yeah, not really going to criticise the ref for not travelling forward in time to buy tomorrows newspaper before he makes a decision.

I'm offended by it.

Extended-Phenotype :?:
Exactly what it says? Like I said, from the refs angle it doesn't look like he bit him. Unless he has a copy of tomorrows Sun to hand, I dunno how he could be sure what Defoe did.

Extended-Phenotype Sangers asked how the ref could miss it, so was just responding to that.
And no, Defoe bites the arm furthest from the ref, so he would not have as good a view as some of those pictures from the other side.

I deeply regret what occurred," added Suarez. "I apologise to Giorgio Chiellini and the entire football family. I vow to the public that there will never again be another incident like this.
