It's true, I was exaggerating. I'd say, though, that most of the entertainment so far has come from unfancied sides attacking the vulnerable big boys. I have a fear that France and Germany will play more conservately against each other than they did against Nigeria and Algeria respectively.

Cheers.

Nonsense, they were totally outplayed and only terrible finishing stopped it being a landslide.

Belgium had 39 (thirty-nine) attempts at goal. That's astonishing. If England had played in that game and got such a chasing you'd be on here saying we were the worst team in the World Cup.

hang on, Brazil v Chile was the best game by a mile. Breathtaking pace, great skill, loads of uncertainty and drama.

NL v Spain particularly good too, of course

Wasn't a good spectacle of football....but it was good fun for the first 35 mins...until things started getting really nasty!

I don't think the Netherlands performance against Spain was all that great to be honest. It was an amazing result yes, but they really should've been dead and buried in the first half before RVP gave them a life line.

I thought it was brilliant. The Spanish goal was a penalty not a goal from open play. Maybe the perceived injustice motivated the Dutch and the Spanish then completely fell apart.
