Unbelievable Jeff I'm still not convinced this is 100% a done deal. If my memory serves me right, didn't Anton's takeover get announced before the FL test?

Charles Watts would have looked a bit of a tool if he didn't announce it had been completed after the article previous to that about the takeover being complete that day, has he said it had been completed to spare his blushes?

Because that's not a tactic that would quickly become apparent and backfire spectacularly

KC Royal I think we only announced the Anton deal because the Mail were set to run the story the following day. I very much doubt the club would have said anything otherwise.

Good job it hasn't appeared in any newspapers this time then  , otherwise the club would have had to make an announcement.
Muppet logic.

Or the club have learnt this time that it doesn't matter if the press run with a story, you don't need to go public until the time is right.

More likely the club are controlling the press story through watts and the local media. The mail is not known for its even handed approach and the situation is totally different now. Madj had talked of selling for years but there'd been little if any move on it. This time it's been non-stop takeover searching openly.

2 world wars, 1 world cup There is something seriously wrong.

Readingfc OS has not announced it, which is highly irregular and means the deal has hit a brick wall.

Therefore we can assume that Vibrac's influence is stronger than we think.

It follows that our debts are too severe and the strong likelihood is RFC is going into administration.

No news on OS thus far = definite administration pending and soon to be announced.

Furthermore this puts a serious dampener on Gylfi's move.

far far to many assumptions being made here. Whilst my gut feeling is that the Thai has a touch of the Walter Mitty's about him there is nothing as yet to show either way.

I think you're wrong.

Everything I write is 100% undeniably accurate fact with impeccable logical reasoning.

That's not fair. What part of my original post is wrong or inaccurate?

PieEater If you believe what's gone on with the Doncaster takeover, after the sale is agreed it has to be approved by the FL based on proof of funding and a business plan.

Football league The Football League has released a statement to say that they were not presented with a satisfactory business plan to support the takeover.

"In any club takeover it is a requirement for the prospective purchaser to provide a business plan and to demonstrate that the funding is in place to deliver on that plan," they said

Hopefully they don't ask - what about getting money out of Thailand?

Doncaster's business plan seemed to be, we've got a guy from One Direction involved, and that's err....what do you mean we need more than that.

10 suitcases

Eight to pay the bills and buy the club.

Two to pay "local taxes" at the airports

Would hope that Samrit and co aren't trying to raise funds through an Internet site like those involved in the Donny bid.

this is an assumption and you state this as fact. It does categorically not mean this (although it may turn out to be true)

Therefore we can assume that Vibrac's influence is stronger than we think.

You assume but the sentence should have been "can we" rather than "we can" c/w a ?

It follows that our debts are too severe and the strong likelihood is RFC is going into administration.

House of cards built on sand. This is classic strawman territory.

No news on OS thus far = definite administration pending and soon to be announced.

the lack of news does not prove in itself anything either way. yet you equate it to administration. It lacks cohesion and is a logical fallacy

Sorry to be so mean but if you interpret things both known and unknown but state opinion as fact or unavoidable conclusions then you must be prepared to be held to account. As it stands we simply do not know what the final outcome of this bid is even if it completes or fails. Speculation is all well and good and can be enjoyably fun but care must be taken by those who believe things not to get too carried away by their own beliefs.

Correct. It isn't, that's why there is no formal announcement yet.

The sale has been signed, it's only the Football League confirmation we need. I don't believe there's anything to worry about, but the point some are making is TSI was announced before the Football League approved the takeover. I expect we're just being cautious/patient, but some fans clearly look back to TSI and our announcement and now scaremonger because we haven't said anything official yet. SB mentioned he was meeting the FL this week, so a decision should follow relatively soon after that as long as everything is in order.

Not really sure why people are getting their knickers in a twist. JM said it would not be announced until it was 100% completed. It clearly isn't hence no announcement.

10539.4 Miles Away From what I have heard (no its not from twatter and I realise I could be proven massively wrong here very quickly) we are nowhere near a finalised deal.

To go a little further (again just repeating what I have been told), if a deal happens in the near future I'd be gobsmacked if it was with Samrit. Neither of his companies Billion Investment Group or Promise Insurance have licenses in HK or Thailand.

Looks like you were massively wrong.

It would seem its not over yet.

Yes it is. Even if (and there's pretty much no chance of it happening) the football league object then it's still the case that SB and RFC signed an SPA, and that flies in the face of your 'nowhere near a finalised deal) nonsense.

NO as I said LUTON take over in one week. club already signing new players. Even if he was rejected by FL. court of sport arbitration would overturn the decision, LEEDS proved that.
