mikey0406 The paladini deal is close... Only that offer in the frame... The only issue is price whether we go up or not. Deal is ready to be signed

LoyalRoyal22 I guess we will get an update from Charles tomorrow.

Indeed so:

Charles Watts ‏@charles_watts · 8m
On the takeover. Told the Thais paid more of the money on Thursday, more due to arrive today. All parties comfortable #ReadingFC

There is a 'deadline' today, but it's not a deal breaker if everything isn't paid. RFC/Vibrac happy that the money is coming in #readingfc

Dave should be posting more in about 5-6 hours.

was the only offer in the frame at the time. then the chaos happened and he plumped for Leyton Orient. would you blame anyone not going for Reading after all the trouble that appears to crop up through ownership, management of the takeover, lawyer fees....

Simon's Church Was it your mum¿ I've heard she's quite well associated around town.

 she is, but she's got stronger links in the South West these days.. but that's a different matter.

So according to Charles some was paid. I guess that was partly true then.

Anyone else not actually that bothered? Very few of these takeovers are with genuine people that want to take a football club forward. I hope we're all pleasantly surprised, but I wont hold my breath.

This money coming in as dribs and drabs is very odd-are the buyers having a whip round every few days and then sending the pool of money over?
I partly agree with Sparta about not being that concerned about who owns the club but the thought of us not buying a new striker and seeing Kanu trot out on Saturday 16th fills me with.....I don't know what, whether that be with dread, angst or maybe even "whatever" I'll know on the day.
I'm just waiting for the mad man to do his normal pre-season nonsense about ambition.
