Pepe the Horseman
Royal Ginger With Williams having another knee op, Karacan unlikely and Guthrie still nursing a calf issue, at least one of these chaps are likely to be starting alongside Akpan come the start of the season. Kuhl? Tshibola?

Adam Clayton

I know your love (well, lust really) for him is predominately beard orient8d, but is he actually any good? Can't say I have the foggiest recollection of him as a player.

Genuinely I thought he was the best player I saw at the Mad Stad last season.

He utterly raped our midfield and defense during their visit. I'd have him in the team in a heartbeat.

Tshibola is a year further ahead in his development, but then Kuhl is really oxf*rd good, and is a more defensive player so would complement Akpan better.

Agree with Zac, particularly given out lack of striking options, if the first three are all out injured then at least two untested players will play. Taylor will probably be one of them, but I think it's only a matter of time before he and Akpan are behind both Kuhl and Tshibola too. And Tanner obvs.

Looking through last years youth teams and players that no longer appear to be with us. I see Hakeem Odoffin was confirmed in December 2012 as having signed a two year contract. If that was two years until the summer of 2014 then he might well have moved on. Can't see anything about him for the u18s.

Looks like Tope Fowodu might haev left towards the end of last season as it looks like he's made appearances for Chesterfield and Crawley, so I guess he's no longer with us.

and Tamille Roache seems to have played for Hayes and Yeading and more recently Barnet, so maybe another one we allowed to move on.

Looks like we still have a pretty big squad / youth team, with eligibility this season as follows;

First team
GK Mikkel Andersen, Adam Federici, Alex McCarthy,
Def Shaun Cummings, Chris Gunter, Michael Hector, Stephen Kelly, Sean Morrison, Alex Pearce
Mid Hope Akpan, Royston Drenthe, Danny Guthrie, Jem Karacan, Garath McCleary, Hal Robson-Kanu Jake Taylor, Danny Williams
At Nick Blackman, Pavel Pogrebnyak

u21 eligible
GK Aleksandar Gogic, Jonathan Henly, George Legg, Dan Lincoln, Stuart Moore
Def Jake Cooper, Rob Dickie, Lasha Dvali, Shane Griffin, Dom Hyam, Niall Keown, Sean Long, George McLennan, Nana Owusu, Pierce Sweeney,
Mid Ryan Edwards, Tariqe Fosu-Henry, Samúel Friðjónsson, Liam Kelly, Aaron Kuhl, Jordan Obita, Conor Shaughnessy, Jack Stacey, Aaron Tshibola
At Craig Tanner, Dominic Samuel, Bogdan Vaštšuk

u18 eligible
GK Billy Collings, Luke Southwood, Joe Tupper, Lewis Ward,
Def Daniel Akinwumuni, Axel Andresson, Harrison Bennett, Marc Ethelston, Zac Jules, Gabe Osho, Sindri Scheving, Tennai Watson,
Mid Lewis Collins, Noor Husin, Hammed Lawal, Jake Sheppard, Justin Thompson-Lee, Tomas Urbancic, Amadu Waritay
At Josh Barrett, Harry Cardwell, Conor Davis, Andrija Novakovich, Sam Smith, Daniel Williams

u16 eligible
GK Colm McAdden, Jack Wingate
Def Tom McIntyre
Mid Ryan East, Ahmed Farah
At
Unknown - Theo Alexis, Jack Denton, Tyler Frost

[as you can see, I don't add much on the u16's - only those that get mentioned in articles as appearing in u18 games or getting international call-ups].

Feels like some parts of the u21/u18s must be overly saturated, like CB for u21s.

Do you remember when I was like "this guy should be with the first team", and you guys were like "no, he's too young". We'll see.

Sounds like he was lively in his 30 min cameo and could have scored a couple more too..

I like the sound of this guy. I like a big guy up front, someone you just want to keep crossing into knowing he can get his noggin' on it. Very interested to see how he progresses.

Brighton and Derby upgraded to Category 1 status.
Both will be in our division for U21s (Div 2), but only Brighton for U18s (South).
