maffff
soggy biscuit never watched Mackie much but always had him down as your classic hard working headless chicken type.

Thick pundits will all praise his 'great engine' and solid work rate while ignoring that when he gets in a good position he more often than not spoons it into the crowd or makes a terrible choice in passing

So..... he's Jobi?

More like a Championship James Milner.

This would be a decent signing which would significantly improve our team.

First - Reading linked with a triple signing.

Second - positivity from Floyd.

Third - the rapture?

13 goals in 73 games for Forrest and 10 goals in 65 for WBA according to Wiki. Did better at Swindon but i believe they were in League 1 at the time.

Hardly prolific at this level, so not too confident this one I'll be a success, but would love to be proved wrong.

He's more than just a goalscorer though. In the Championship overall he's got pretty much the same number of goals and assists and can play in a variety of positions. Tbh, not even sure he'd be playing as an out and out striker that often for us.

In fact, did he ever actually play up front for us whilst he was here? I remember he played right wing in that Spurs cup game but not sure about other games, seem to vaguely remember he either played central midfield or just off the main striker.

Yes, the few games he did play for us, he wasn't a main striker.

We missed a real opportunity to have Cox and Long up front imo.

Has anyone worked out why Forest sold him to Reading. he has scored less goals then pog? they don't need the money.

Why would forest care that he has scored less goals than a striker at a club they are selling him to?

Wooosshhhh

If names such as Robert Codner or John Halls were linked to the club, I am sure the Floydster would post exactly the same
