Well done to the club for ditching 0870 which doubtless cost fans a small fortune over the season.

What's the craic here? Are people just nostalgic about STD codes or was there somekind of superstition, symmetry or aesthetics to old code I'm not seeing?

I quite like 0118 FWIW.

0845 calls were dearer Green, and also not included in mobile bundled minutes.

Why are people telephoning the club? I don't understand what business there is to be had? Shirly everyone either has a season ticket or books online?

If your doing it on your mobile you can choose whether to use up some minutes or data from your bundle by calling or going online

But it doesn't end 1871 anymore :(

Sometimes, when you need to buy tickets for all your brothers and nephews and people and move your own season ticket seat to be with them, a real person on a phone makes it all seem easy
