Royal GingerDrew_3Royal Ginger Cox had fantastic ball control but was always too far away from Pogrebnyak to make much of a difference. That invisible line connecting them will come soon. Edwards was noticeably more in tune with Pog when he came on, which is to be expected as they've had a pre-season together, but he suffered from the way the game was going.
Obita started quietly but grew into the game.
Akpan was barely passable but needs to keep his arms down. Every time he jumped his arms went up.
Blackman was poor in the air but broke well when he got it to his feet.
Man of the match for me was Jay Tabb. Everything good that Ipswich did came through him, and he got a good ovation when he went off.
Really I thought Blackman won his fair share of headers in the first half, flicking them on down the right hand touchline, was just no one getting on the end of them most of the time.
That's poor in the air to me. Why flick it down the channel if no-one's there? Pog was always hanging off his inside shoulder. I really didn't think he got up to many anyway.
Ok so the ball is played up to him in the air and he is supposed to just let it go over his head? Or let the defender cut it out? If your suggesting he should of been flicking it to the inside then I accept the point but maybe he was trying to and the ball in the air wasn't good enough? Or he may have been told to flick to the channels and others were not where they were supposed to be? Just saying sometimes a players seemingly bad play is not what it looks like at face value.
