Cape Town Royal Kuhl and Karacan that's two K's if we can find another midfielder whose surname starts with the letter 'K' we could become the single most supported club in the Deep South of America!!

Kelly could complement them well.

Hate to diminish "y'alls" vision of American southerners, but we really aren't all enthralled with racism (though that might explain why the bedding set my wife bought last night came with two extra white pillowcases.)

Oh what the heck, I'll play along. I went into town this morning to trade a wagon of tobacco for a bale of barbed wire and a jug of rye when I spotted this parked in front of the courthouse. Must be a Marussia F1 fan...

lol - Nice one Todd like the come back and no racial slur intended just a little bit of light humour... I was born in Cape Town so I understand the sensitivity around such issues, though I have to say we did tend you use our bedding for sleeping on!!

I was just having fun with it as well! TBF, we did have a very open Klan presence in our area well into the late 80's, but we're such a melting pot now they don't know who to hate most anymore so it's pretty much fizzled out. I haven't seen a cross burning since I was a kid. When you do hear about the Klan now, it's usually 2 or 3 bored redneck kids that found a nazi flag on eBay to dance around and make a youtube video.

As for the bedding, we had a new mattress delivered yesterday, so yes, the new bedding went right on the new mattress. Sheets aren't clothing in my family (other than an occasional toga.)

Sorry for getting a little sideways by my injecting anecdotes of cross burnings, bedsheets, and Marussia co-branding livery on a General Lee Dodge Charger.

We can return to Oliver Norwood now with my apologies. (But you know you really want that General Lee.)

winchester_royal Don't think so. Kuhl recycles the ball, keeps the game moving, dictates the tempo. Norwood sounds like the type of player that is more likely to pick a 40 yard through ball and create chances.

Dillon got it spot on imo on BBCRB after the game. Kuhl isn't going to make the pass that creates the chance. He'll make the pass that creates the pass that creates the chance.

Although he made a couple of passes to create chances yesterday.

Yep, Winch having a mare there. He whipped in a nice cross for Cox having not been on the pitch long at all. What about this?

Didn't say he isn't capable, just that it isn't the main part of his game. For me he's more of a linker rather than an out and out play maker. The type who sits deep and finds the more forward thinking players with intelligent forward balls. Looking forward to being proved completely wrong in the fullness of time though as he turns into the next Gylfi.

Winch knows what he's talking about with the youth and has a bit of a point in that Kuhl isn't an attacking midfielder. But he definitely has it in him to get forward and create goals, no one plays defence splitting passes every 10 minutes.

But the point initially raised was that like Norwood wouldn't combine well with Guthrie, he wouldn't combine well with Kuhl because they do the same thing. Which seems a fair point from the description of him.

No denying that if you want to know what any of the youth posted on twitter, on any given date, then winch is your man.
But I'm not sure the 'winch knows best' card was entirely necessary on this occasion.

Thought i would add this, not really anything we have not heard already, Comes from my mate who is a lifelong Huddersfield fan.....

"Genius one week.....utter shit the next.....
Went to first game of season last weekend....he was our worst player that day by a mile....but, put him 20 yards out with a bit of space to measure up, and you'd want him with the ball at his feet.....very good at long range shots and free kicks....
Hope that helps sir.....
Oh !!!!...... Did I mention Royals 1-Terriers 2 ?"

Sounds like the machine is in full swing with lengthy Get Reading articles talking up what a great signing he'd be and the loyal twitterati jumping through any hoop to defend our transfer policy, talking like we are about to unearth a gem of Fabregas standards.

Hope they are right but can't help but feel this is probably a bit closer to an Akpan/Blackman type signing.

Happy times go sour as EP's legs suddenly become detached from his cheering body.
