Wycombe Royal @GM_83 is his real account.

Yep just seen. I don't use Twitter much but amazed at all the spoof RFC accounts on there like Guruth Mclory & Jake Tailer or whatever. Who has time to do this stuff?!

I think they're called Toons. Some of the players love the McLoryPls account, but generally they're crap.

The rumour seems to be that the Murray deal depends on Palace getting Doyle in. Not sure what I feel about that.

Listening to Steve Parish on FiveLive and confirmed their last bit of business is bringing an ex-Premier League striker in. Mentioned nothing of Murray, but I'd guess once they confirm their signing we'll be able to complete this.

Cheers again Doyler. Still love you x :)

How can you feel anything other than excitement?

Would be a bit miffed at signing Doyle if I was a Palace fan TBH. Well past his sell by date & isn't really prolific.

Mind you it's all irrelevant now really. Having Colin as their manager is the ultimate kiss of death.

Not sure about that, a lot of the Wolves fans think he's been misused over the past few seasons

Have to say I am also waiting for the inevitable 11pm announcement from NH along the lines of.

"We tried really hard today to get a deal for Glen Murray over the line, but unfortunately it was not quite meant to be. But at least we can reassure our fans that we were very serious about adding to the squad today and it is only circumstances completely beyond the club's control that we did not quite manage to sign a player this transfer deadline day".

That is good enough for me. As long as we try it doesn't matter if don't actually sign anyone!

Apparently the sticking point is the 1 year contract that we want to offer him.

No chance of it being just one year if we are paying 1.5M. Think more likely we are offering two and he wants three - which would be madness if we agree IMO. Yet another Roberts or Drenthe situation in the making.

We tried very hard apparently," but our targets just managed to slip through the net".

Depends how desperate we are...

Plus if we are 'rebuilding', someone on a 3 year contract should be justified... if not, find someone younger.

I'm sure Hammond will say we can always sign him on loan..then the story will gradually disappear..

I'd rather we keep the 1.5m until next year

he's not going to make the difference between play-offs or even promotion, so why bother? sign him or not - we'll still be mid table.
