honestly, we might see this season that everyone else's mediocrity will make united (and everyone else) look better than they are. the top 4 of last yearr except for chelsea all have dropped points and look fairly poor. tottenham, and everton both had high expectations and are not performing. teams like swansea, southampton, villa, etc are taking advantage of this and have inflated how good they are. this is all speculative but 4 games in chelsea look like they only truly quality team. even though united are rebuilding and have a unbalanced team they might not be exposed as much as they would have been say last year. this could all very well turn around and arsenal, tottenham, city, everton, liverpool, etc could all start playing well again but it remains to be seen.

oh i agree 100% that all of the top clubs have spent very well this summer and strengthened their squads but they either A. havent gelled together yet or B. the managers havent found the right mix. on paper arsenal, city, chelsea, tottenham, liverpool, everton, united, all have sides that can make the top 4 but for some reason they havent performed yet. we are just 4 games in and i fully expect the top sides to all show their class soon. im still hoping united's unbalanced, attack heavy side will not fare well and they will finish outside of europe places.

ive always hated united. living in the states you find that most football fans pull for united becaue 1. they have the best players, 2. they always win, 3. its low stress to be a united fan, 4. everyone knows who united is football fan or not.

they have this ridiculous smugness about them when they ask who i support and they hear reading. im just really happy to see united doing bad and their fans shutting the oxf*rd up.
