JordCot
Winston Smith
Ian Royal The Fulham fans seemed a decent bunch. Otherwise they were atrocious..

what does that even mean?

They poked fun at themselves a couple times which was pretty funny and good spirited. Talked to a few on the way home and again seemed a decent bunch

Did they tell us they'd never play us again though?

3points Oh, and it was a bit dull to watch.

Have to say I'm as stunned at that reaction as the one from the WUM who said all our passes came from the defence and (at the risk of sounding like the Spanish Inquisition) another comment about all our play going down the left.

I thoroughly enjoyed the game and thought our passing was really good and incisive, the movement up front (notably from Murray) was much better and our balance and tempo was excellent, especially when your think back to the Huddersfield game - I've tried to block the second half of Forest out completely.

I do concede that Fulham were poor and let us play how we wanted. The only time they troubled us was with long balls up to Smith to head and once he went off that ended it as a contest. Yes they had a period in the 2nd half when they raised their game because of the taunts from their fans, but once we got hold of Roberts that petered out and in the end we were really comfortable.

Still can't believe how far Obita has come, he is looking like a quality, classy player. Could almost see him as a captain with this maturity. (he also got 2 assists)

I do like how people take quotes totally out of context. In my original post I stated that we had played well. My criticism was that we didn't push on in the last 20 minutes to get more goals and improve our goal difference. It was the last 20 minutes that wasn't exactly the most exciting thing I've ever seen. I sat there, not wanting to leave before the end, hoping the ref would blow the final whistle as we sat back and wanted to play out time with a lot of games coming up in a short space of time

Best home game since Burnley in May in my view (yeah I know its only been a handful!) - even if Fulham were carp. Murray looked like he'd been with us forever - totally settled, etc.

Glad Obita is back where he plays his best and can understand the 'all on the left side' comments - Gunter isnt as slick on the right and we're missing McLeary so we've got great things to look forward to when he's back.

And yes I thought the last 20 was a bit dull apart from Blackman beating up the flag - not often we get yellows for excessive celebration at the Mad (Pog against West Brom was probably the last?).

Fair enough if that's what you meant but my use of the quote didn't alter its meaning in any way so I'm not sure that I took it out of context.

To get back to the point though, even during the last 20 minutes we were still passing the ball around well and made a few chances, Blackman scored in the 85th minute. But at 2-0 and in control it's understandable that we'd take our foot off the pedal a little.Plus the timing coincides with Murray going off so maybe that was something to do with what you perceived as us sitting back.

My recollection may be dodgy, but didn't Pog have a header come back off the x-bar and Taylor have a scorcher saved by the keeper? There were more chances in that period too?

Pog had a couple of decent chances but only one on the highlights, and it was a good full stretch save for Taylors shot

RoyalBlue It's frankly quite unbelievable the amount of shyte that some people are throwing in Fed's direction

As opposed to him throwing the ball in the wrong direction

Meh, he's a good enough keeper for this league. Makes a few camera saves to woo the easily impressed.

The header onto the bar was the one that made it onto the highlights

Text from Handbags Harris at the game:

Appalling Federici error from a simple cross. Went to punch unhindered. Missed. Free header.

Some #decent distribution today though, that's the most important thing.

I missed that. Must have been disallowed.

Today. It was a shocker. Though I'm going to defend the irritating fat Aussie and point out he made two or three very good saves (and tried to make two or three more routine ones look like worldies).

That was my point. Isn't this thread for discussing how poor Federici was in the Fulham game and not Millwall?

Anything goes in the point scoring game.
Dunno what's up with floyd, he'd seemed to be coming out from his funk recently.
