tidus_mi2 I dunno, Coppell always seemed to have a very dull monotonous way of speaking.

How very dare you - he was wondrous in every single department and had a voice to behold.

Big Foot
floyd__streete Q: would you rather attend an evening with Nigel Adkins or an evening with Brian McDermott?

The fact that there's an evening with BMc & not one with NA speaks volumes, IMO.

Exactly!.....Nigel's busy at the moment.

I'd say it means Brian has a little bit more time on his hands than Nigel...

If they invited the manager of Leeds Rugby League team along as well, it would be an evening with two Brian McDermotts.

To be fair, I'm guessing the clue is that it's the Reading Former Players Association that's arranged it. That includes former managers for you pedants.

Yeah, dozy, illiterate, disrespectful teenagers like you (just like the dozy, nosy, pensioners) on here remind me why I don't read HNA very often these days.

I've met several former Reading players/managers and to a man they've been humble, appreciative of the fans and without exception bloody funny and interesting. I guess you either have an interest in, say, what Michael Gilkes was thinking when he walked up to take that penalty against Coventry in the Simod Cup Semi Final or you don't. If you've got an interest in the club rather than spending your time posturing in Y26 I'd suggest an evening with one of Reading's most decent and successful managers isn't a bad way to spend an evening.

Joe's schtick got old a long time ago. Some might still have fallen for it though.

Yeah, thanks Platy. I'm well aware of the wind up merchants on here though. Sometimes they need to be addressed. Just for appearances sake.

I completely agree, but in Joe's defence he was talking about Jason Roberts (with who I have no problem), not Brian.

Sounds like a good way to spend an evening. Sometimes it's nice to find out some of the background we may not have been privy to at the time. Serious  at those using to open another front on the NA v BMc 'discussion'.

I would watch the stairs down from the commentary box though if I was you Adie, Mr Dellor will be desperate for this gig.

I would love to go to this. Still to this day think McD was unlucky to lose his job. I would wonder how many would turn up for an Evening with Anton?

By the beard of the emperor...

" WE MOVE ON "

Nigel has been the best thing to happen too our club!!! WHY CANNOT YOU ALL SEE THISSSS ?

If you do go, please thank him for giving us a future and stepping aside to make room for Nigel.

Why oh why do we need to have a cabaret act to worship past failures in terms of league standings etc ?

I am sure he is a very nice man, but " WE MOVE ON "...and if he really has got anything to say, write a book.

Do you see?
