Don't forget STAR and possibly a few others own shares in Reading FC, The 50%/25%/25% presumably relates to the holding company who own most of the shares and a controlling interest in Reading FC.

STAR have less than 1% iirc.

All the minor shareholders (there are quite a lot) own less than 1% combined. They can, to all intents and purposes, be disregarded.

Norfolk Royal Why hasn't there been a press conference to introduce the new owners of the club? You'd think it was pretty integral to the club's future and important to the fans to know who these people are. But silence.
I imagine SJM will parade them before the next home game and hog the microphone and say something about "our new friends" continuing the Reading way and taking us back to the promised land.

Wycombe Royal Chairmen of clubs don't always own the club....for example Phil Gartside at Bolton.

Would you cite Bolton as an example of a club with good governance, Wycombe?

That is irrelevant to the point being made, and I made no reference to whether he was doing a good or bad job.

JIM JM should leave RFC to its new owner to decide how the club should be run, you dont sell your house ,then carry on living in it ,do you? He sold everything , to my mind 50%+25%+25%=100% so JM where does your 10% come from???????

A better question is where does your 10% figure come from? There were certainly rumours JM was going to retain 10% before the takeover was confirmed but since it was confirmed, the only figures we've been given are 50%-25%-25%, no suggestion whatsoever that JM has a 10% share.

Where are any of these figures coming from? - Have I missed an announcement?

Don't forget STAR and possibly a few others own shares in Reading FC, The 50%/25%/25% presumably relates to the holding company who own most of the shares and a controlling interest in Reading FC.

It's other way round. STAR - and others - have shares (about 1.5% in total) in the RFC (Holdings) Co. which has just sold its subsidiary, Reading FC (the football club), in which the new investors have these 50:25:25 shares. SJM having 10% seems to be based on a misleading and uncorrected report. As far as we know he doesn't and didn't intend to.

If shareholders can be disregarded then what hope is there for the rest of us?

Ian Royal STAR have less than 1% iirc.
Perhaps instead of donating away funds collected from membership fees and donations they should save up in the hope that shares may become available at a future date.

Well, yes, love to. Our savings might not get us that far though as (1) you need 25.1% share of shares to have a real impact (I think, it's the figure Supporters Direct often quote) and (2) shares in RFC look as if they will be even less available to buy now.

We'll ask, of course.

Yeah, not really 'at the moment' is it.

Unless TSI are still 51% shareholders and all this has been a boring dream.

Madejski saying new owners will look for a stadium sponsor. Will inevitably mean a name change.

Also, he mysteriously says new owners have their eye on property and 'educational links' in the area. Make of that what you will.

According to that Sasima is only director of one company. What about this then and what relevance does it have to RFC:

It means they will develop the area around the stadium (probably in conjunction with the new Malaysian owner of the hotel assuming it goes through ok) and it will be very nice no doubt but once completed I can't see what they want with a football club.. Not that I could see why they wanted it in the first place if not for the development potential.

A 76 yr old women wants to buy into a loss making football club in foreign country in a town she's never heard of in her life?....Makes perfect sense.

Sums up pretty much every foreign owner in football.

Happy about what exactly: a group of unknowns come in and buy the club (just like last time) who don't appear to have sufficient funds to run the club long term without promotion . Who set up a shell company to run it (like last time)

Sorry if I don't share your lemming like blind faith, but hey it's only the clubs future at stake so perhaps we should all just enjoy the ride :D
