Tamworth_Royal Why do some of you keep harping on about this being good business ? it's never ever re-invested

Do you have any theories about what happens to all this money by any chance?

You tell me, .... Funny how many people defend the club policies are members from only 2 years or less ago lol. Putin uses similar propaganda tactics, revolt on mass after brainwashing the young. Sorry forgot Antons gone

I've been a season ticket holder since 1988, and I've been on this site for about 15 years, in one guise or another.

strange how the fans who appear to have only started watching when we looked like getting in the premier league get so irate about us not being there still.

But no, if you want to imply that money is going "elsewhere" rather than being spent on the team, you should at the very least be able to suggest what you think might be happening to it.

Yes, we aren't looking great this season. We had to sell some more of our players because we couldn't afford not to, and we had to play the league leaders away from home with seven of the 1st choice XI missing through injury.0-4 was a poor result, but we were always going to be up against it.

Given that we have a high wage bill, what exactly do you think we should have done this season?

I guess Madejski should have pumped millions in to bankroll a promotion push, or we should have sold to one of those numerous trustworthy benevolent billionaires that have been queuing up to buy the club.

Tamworth_Royal It's all going good isn't it lol

Fair play to Derby, renamed their Stadium to earn extra money and push on ....... Over to you ego man, pump personal cash to keep sponsoring the stadium, better still you Hammond ( oh Nicky Hammond lol sell sell sell bye bye bye Hammond) and Nigel ("what the feck does do and HOW MUCH DOES HE COST THE CLUB) Howe., just leave completely.

Look at us compared to Swansea, similar sized clubs, lost in play offs, joined them next year in Prem, ever since they have gone from strength to strength, us bottled it but to be fair they have a football intelligent chairman in Jenkins.

Adkins........ The perfect puppet ....... When the managements hands work, the manger says all the right things.

I was one of the 3% on the Get Reading site who predicted 15th in July as our final position..... Looking good

What a fecking mess this club has become

Madejski listens to Tamworth Royal and fairplay to him
http://www.getreading.co.uk/sport/footb ... cs-7835240

Meanwhile, Reading’s co-chairman believes it won’t be long before the club’s new owners sell the naming rights to Madejski Stadium.

“If they can find a sponsor who’s going to spend a lot of money on the naming rights then that will happen and so it should,” he said.

My next quest (Apart from the endless task of getting rid of the useless Hammond)
Nigel (Fecking) Howe how useless is this bloke, nearly sent the club into admin although spending the least on transfers than any other club in Prem History (Since 2007) and yet raked in massive transfer fees and TV revenue and STILL couldn't balance the books. Is this bloke blind, stupid an idiot ????????? why is he still there !!!!!!

Madejski you might of admitted your failings which i've always known  but others failed to see, but for christ sake you and the comedy duo of Hammond & Howe have got to go. โปรดให้ พวกเขาไป

You see Ian Royal you have to make statements that the club listens to, this makes things happen it's a lot better than 36,000 posts of waffle crap

(10 years of 962 posts but impact  )

Ian I'm joking x

oxf*rd hell, i've made thousands of statements over the years that the club has "listened" to. Maybe I should be on the board.

At least Tamworth has got to the bottom of the TSI shambles. Anton was Nigel Howe in disguise.

When I first saw this thread (after the Burnley game) I thought it was about the Mad Stad being sold out, and we had failed by one goal to get into the playoffs. Then i saw who had written the Original Post and thought "Ho hum, this is going to be the same old crap that he usually writes" and I was right.

Hilarious, and it goes on and on an inept Physio as manager, a crap accountant who nearly made the club bankrupt despite selling and spending feck all in 10 years, a Director of football    oh if I said "Nicky Hammond" at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival it would of won best joke 2005-2014 and then we have Madejski.................. sold the club because he thought he need a new Thai

I told you lot 15th under this regime would be likely, relegation revised.

What a shower of shite and where's the voice of the Thais and their intentions

Take over was never about football its all about , land property and money...nice one Madejski

I agree with most the above-however it is easy to forget where we came from 20 plus years ago. Without Mr Mad we would not have the current infrastructure. I would also doubt that we are relegation material. I still believe with the addition of two players (CB/CM) , that we have a very strong Championship squad. If we are in the zone @Xmas then Adkins deserves to go-the key then is who we then appoint as the next Manager-get that wrong & we really will be in trouble.

Except...the takeover was only concluded AFTER the transfer window closed, despite that, there was confidence to bring in a few players, you can bet there would have been 0 signings loan or otherwise if the Thais hadn't given some pre-takeover support.

Also massive lol at them being here for the land only, is that why they've already revived the plans to build a training ground at Bearwood? What ambition the Thais have we will start finding out, January will be the first transfer window where we supposedly have our ownership situation settled and will clearly show how well they are backing the club.

Well I have been lurking in the shadows watching the denial that goes on around the forum.
Although I think that the OP is overstated there is a core of truth there.
I think that history will show that when it comes to JM the negatives outweighed the positives..
And of course those in denial will suggest that I should return to the lurker benches. 8)

Denial of what exactly?

I'm genuinely interested in your take on how the negatives outweigh the positives as far JM's tenure is concerned.

I'm also interested to see how circa 20 years of unprecedented comparative success can be considered as negatives outweighing the positives.

Madejski gave us the best times of Reading FC ever...

"yeah, but if he had loads more money or spent his entire fortune on us it could have been better."

Oooooooookay.

I am curious how the negatives outweigh the positives when we've gone from a shit tier 3-4 team playing at a shit stadium to a currently average tier 2 team with recent top league history playing at a modern 24k seater stadium.
