Discussing the renaming of the stadium is a little pointless when it'll be a paying sponsor that it's named after, but I would like to finally see the stands named after former players/managers.

Sir John Madejski West Stand
Steve Coppell East Stand
Robin Friday North Stand
Maurice Evans South Stand

The Danny Guthrie carpark, where everything is slowed down to walking pace and you only use it when all other options are gone

SPARTA Not bothered by the name. Elm Park mattered, but the soulless bowl doesn't, not to me anyway. Call it what you like, for me it's just the football ground. One thing I will be pleased with though is seeing 'Madejski Stadium' removed from the East Stand seats. Stick a few rows of white in there for hoops please!

Silver Fox It's a shame as I'd like all the work SJM did to be remembered for many years to come and also it's probably going to sound stupid

This really. Its not like football has a great record in cool and interesting stadia name is the last few decades - though Rotherham's still entertains me.

Yep, I'd be happy for a similarly deliberately obtuse name

Since this reply Ive been thinking about references to Reading in popular culture and come up blank.

Therefore I recommend to the new consortium that they plant an elm tree in each corner of the car park, call it Elm Park and bring back the old badge. Definitely the old badge. That'll do for starters. Work on satisfying their customer base one at a time. Starting with me.

Which old badge?

The one with the Elm trees presumably. I was always fond of the shield badge
